  1. Bakflip MX4 EZ-Lift

Did the drain tubes get installed and in a way they can gravity drain?
  2. Rookie Ranger Owner's Learning Log

I would say that's a good deal...I got about 3k off sticker, 40k even selling price...equipped a little differently of course.
  3. Bakflip MX4 EZ-Lift

HEY! Where's my shirt or hat? I need to post a pic??? ;)
  4. Spare Tire decision

To do 5 tire you'll need a matching wheel and a TPMS sensor too. Not a bad idea since it would force you to lower your carrier and grease it up a little when needed, but I've only ever done 4-tire rotates. If your spare is full-size it will work with any other set of tires in an emergency.
  5. Is your 2024-2025+ Ranger AC smelling? Evaporator drain plugged?? Here you go.

WHat was the fix? Was the evap box cracked or had an extra hole it shouldn't? Or is that just a bad seal...
  6. What decides which Drive Mode / 4WD knob you get?

Keep in mind you have multiple countries represented too...
  7. Rear defogger wires…

Yes and yes. The hood lift kit from redline is awesome. Recommended. Mine was only 40k so I don't feel as cheated, I stay away from upper trim levels. But yes all jokes aside, rear window connectors on cars are pretty much similar but they're always out of reach on a back window over a package...
  8. Hole in hood for gas pistons

I can't see that they would be different given the kit is for '24+ MY
  9. Is your 2024-2025+ Ranger AC smelling? Evaporator drain plugged?? Here you go.

Be open to the possibility it's not condensate as well, could be a windshield leak, etc. You might need to get under your dash with a strong light while someone aims a water hose with a medium pressure sprayer at several spots, holding it at each spot for a bit.
  10. Hole in hood for gas pistons

I just installed this kit if it's redline...the two square holes for the nut are opposites, one vertical and one horizontal so to speak. I oriented the nut the same way on both, you're supposed to center it vertically in the horizontal-shaped hole best you can if that makes sense. EDIT: that...
  11. Great off road testing!

I'd love to have a (reliable) little diesel!
  12. Factory sound system

Don't waste your time with the dealer unless you can reproduce it easily and repetitively (unless you're short on warranty, then yes, have it documented with an attempt to fix). Try the above suggestions, otherwise it sounds like a loose power wire or what we would call in the old days, "turn-on...
  13. Lifetime powertrain warranty

This is your sign to walk out and not look back. ✌️
  14. Powered sub install on 2026

Yeah, that's my fear....but my confidence will grow as the truck ages and I get bored lol
  15. Powered sub install on 2026

Yeah I was trying to avoid having to get behind there...I don't quite yet have the stones to rip the dash apart after seeing the instructions....but one day I will call them and a T-harness is def the way to go, along with something like a KEYLOC, etc.
  16. Powered sub install on 2026

Looks like nothing is listed for the '26s yet, but I also don't have the B&O, so no connections back there to tap into easily. I'll probably live with the OEM for now :(
  17. Warranty declined because of windshield change

Ha, yeah, I made my first big road trip in mine recently, about 2k miles (brand new truck) and a big something bounced off my windshield with a "THWACK"...I exhaled a loud "MF" of course and only found the smallest of nicks in the glass, was lucky but I knew it would happen early...just not that...
  18. New Owner of a 2026 Ranger XLT – Excited Beginner Looking for Advice!

Your best investment for time and knowledge (and anal pain) is to pair up with a knowledgeable friend or family member who can show you a lot of stuff together. No perience like EXperience. Read a lot here too, save you some pain when you see what others have done or couldn't do in terms of...
  19. Windshield replacement experiences?

Not a bad idea to have a reputable dealer body shop do the work (with insurance of course) if the truck is in warranty just to avoid any other issues down the road.
