Gen3, got it back in early May before the EZ-Lift model was released.

I believe you made the right purchase... the fixed panel in my EZ-Flip is probably twice as long as the Gen 3 to accommodate the torsion spring. When my EZ-Flip is resting against the cab, I lose a good 8" or 9" of bed space, where you probably lose half that much. Had I have known, I would not have purchased the EZ-Flip.

Had a BakFlip MX4 installed a few weeks ago by the local authorized distributor/installer and it is leaking from both the right and left front with the slightest rinse when washing. Any suggestions before I call the installer and get his side of the story. I did notice that the foam tape is up at the right front corner - leak path ??

Did the drain tubes get installed and in a way they can gravity drain?

This is my third Bakflip. the first two (on a frontier and a Maverick) were pretty much water tight. This one was leaking in the same places as yours. I added a little Loctite sealant in the front corners of cover and it stopped a lot of the leaking. I do not think there is a problem with the installation, just the design of the Ranger's bed allows for more leakage.

Same here. The Bakflip on my Silverado kept the bed dry. On the Ranger Raptor with the GEN3 Bakflip, I do get some leaking on the sides and corners. Not terrible, but it does get wet. Maybe the rail channels don't flow as much water?

Here's a pick of the opening at the front of the bed by the cab. Water is easily going to go in there while washing the truck. It looks like it could be double-walled in that area, so water might just pass to the bed if its a heavy amount... But if light can pass through it, then so can water... In theory.
