Has anyone else installed an MX4 TS on a 2026?

When I received the kit it included a pretty small bulkhead seal compared to the ones you see on all the YouTube videos that show installing an MX4 (I can’t find any MX4 TS ones for the Ranger). I queried this with RealTruck and was told I had the wrong seal and so they sent the bigger seal free of charge.
I’ve just gone to install the new seal and the cover does not lay flat and leaves a huge gap.
Has anyone else done this?

Yeah my MX4 EZ only had a skinny little squishy seal that compacts down to seal but doesn't cause it to stick up. It didn't stick well to my textured spray-in bedliner material, but the cover holds it down well enough once installed.

I am going to show one of our install experts, Todd, this tomorrow when he gets in so we can get a better answer. @HugAFreak

That’s what I noticed too. I’ll just stick with the small one they originally sent. I’ll reach to other support , maybe it’s a 26 vs 25 thing!

The 25 bed rail caps being higher would lead to requiring thicker bulkhead seal. With the 26 bed rail caps being so much lower the bulkhead is now higher meaning a bulkhead seal being much thinner for a 26.
Right?

I have a 26, and it's a thin one. I already threw away the extra little bit or I'd take you a pic.

despite all the redesign and complaints and back and forth - nobody seems to know what they're doing over there (RT).

I finally got my retrax cover and it was missing parts and had the wrong bulkhead seal (same giant one you're showing). Their solution was to not use it at all and that the seal built into the cover I had would work fine. They just seem to make it up as they go and hope for the best.

That's the bulkhead seal for the 24/25 Ranger so it found its way into your kit by mistake. The 26 gets a standard bulkhead seal because the bed cap covers don't stick up off the bed as high anymore, so 26 doesn't need the larger seal to make the difference. Did you get a thinner seal in your kit too? If you still have the smaller seal, use that one instead, but if you don't have it, shoot us a DM and we'll get you taken care of. :)

Could you do me a favor and send me a DM with your order number? I'd like to review it so that I can provide any necessary coaching to the team. Not to dismiss any mistakes by service personnel, but we've seen some pretty substantial growth over the last several years, and with that, we bring on new associates pretty often. We offer a lot of products for a lot of trucks, which makes for a ton of things to know and the learning curve can be pretty steep for a new team member.

But you guys get a cheat code! The Forum Team here is a smaller team that is hand picked for their abilities to assist with extensive product knowledge and with service related issues, so if you have any issues with your RealTruck product, or if you need info on a product you're interested in, please DM us directly. :)

I actually got the thinner one in the kit, then questioned it with support as all the videos on line showed the bigger seal. Support told me I had the wrong seal (thinner one) and so sent me the bigger seal! I've now put the thinner seal back on. Thanks
