BAK Revolver X4s with Truxedo Elevate TS rails?

Just picked up a 2026 Raptor and looking at tonneau covers. I'm looking for options that give me full access to the bed, but that I can run a rack when needed for longer items (longboards, kayaks, etc.). I'm liking hard roll-ups for security and bed access, and from what I can tell the BAK Revolver X4ts doesn't work on the 2026 due to the Ford bed rail changes.

Wondering if anyone has run the Truxedo elevate TS rails with the BAK revolver X4s to add the t-slot functionality? Open to other suggestions too.

I had looked into that same combo about 2 1/2 years ago for my Canyon. The Elevate Rails and the X4s were NOT compatible. I ended up with the X4ts. That cover left a lot to be desired when it came to build quality.

Have you looked into canister rollers? Or does the canister take up too much space? I fell into that category and ended up with a RetraxPro EZ-OFF FRC-4000

The canister is removable.

The one issue I see is if you wanted to run a rack, it would likely fit into the t-slots ON the canister, making it a royal PITA to remove

Also, the cover took over 6 months to get to me. But hopefully Realtruck/Retrax has figured their issues out

Yes, it is a very pricey cover. But it had the features I needed.

I've had it installed less than a week, but the build quality seems very good. Haven't had rain or carwash yet to check waterproofness.

dang, was hoping for the EZ-off for my '24, but looks like its '26 only!

Looking at the clamps, I don't see why it wouldn't work on a 24 or 25 with the thicker caps. There is plenty of extra room (I kind of wish there was less - lower profile clamp). Maybe you'd just need a bulkhead seal?

I'll caveat this with my not actually looking at the older style bed caps up close. And that is an expensive gamble without Realtruck/Retrax weighing in

yeah, I'll be reaching out to them, seems like the guys who tried the 24-25 regular model on the 26 needed a thinner seal (fingers crossed that's all), so maybe its not that far off

It's more than that, unfortunately. The 24 and 25 Ranger bed cap covers are 1/2' - 5/8" higher than the metal structure of the bed, leaving a large void that doesn't offer structural support. That's why it's not recommended to have a bed rack on a 24 or 25. For 26, Ford changed that by making the plastic covers flush against the metal. That's also why the 24 and 25 need a much thicker bulkhead seal than the 26. It's because the 24 and 25 plastic bed cap covers are another 5/8" higher than the ones on the 26.
There may eventually be a supplemental support kit available for the 24 and 25, but it's not available now. I know a design has been submitted, but it's under engineering review. Other than that, I don't know of the status or progress of that project.
Another possible solution that I have no way to test is that "IF" the metal structure under the plastic bed cap covers has not changed from 25 to 26, it's possible that replacing the plastic covers with bed cap covers from a 26 could essentially convert the bed functionally to a 26, meaning that then 2026 Ranger tonneau covers would work on that truck. But again, I don't have a way to test that in my current role.

I have a 24 RR with rack and rtt and have zero problems with the thicker bed caps.

How tall do you need the rack to be? I have the X4s with an American Adventure Labs RAIL system with the 10" riser and it works great. Attaches via bed stake pockets, and they solved the bed cap issue with a dynamic stack of risers, so it should fit the 2026 designs as well. It's a mid-height rack, so won't work if you're trying to elevate something above the roofline.


I learned the hard way that Xtrusion racks are NOT compatible with the X4s, despite their website marketing claiming they are.

BTW - 100% recommend the X4s.

I have a somewhat similar challenge. A month back I picked up a 26 XLT FX4 and have been looking at ways/options for outfitting the bed with a tonneau with T-channel. Little did I know when I purchased that Ford made the small changes they did so that most of the 25 options were now off the table. V V frustrating to say the least and more like discouraging.

I have though found a solution that is not as elegant as I would like but I think it will work/fit and for the time being, meet most of my needs. Basically the Truxedo Pro X15 with their stand alone Elevate T-Rails, 5'8". Everything I've read says the two can be co-mounted with the challenge being more possibilities for water ingress. Like the OP I don't want to sacrifice bed space.

I've yet to flip the switch on this combo but if someone has a alt working solution, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance....

BTW, is it true our friends at RT can offer an attractive discount to forum members?

thanks for the reply Todd, much appreciated. As some other members have chimed in though, other accessories fit the '24 and '25, just with spacers in the stake pockets.

If you do move on it I'd also be interested to know if that combo works.

The goal is to be able to haul a couple 12.5' kayaks or a 10' surfboard whenever conditions permit, so running a rack that elevates things over the roof is preferable to something lower to the bed.

Anyone using the Adarac racks? Looks like they mount through the stake pockets only and would be compatible with any cover that keeps clear of those, but real-world feedback or opinions appreciated before pulling the trigger on anything.
