Excellent! Did the mod this afternoon. Took all of 10 minutes. I used an X-acto knife.
Initially I was only going to do the UP side, but the Ford switches have a nice heavy middle click so less likely to accidentally open them all the way instead of partial down. My old GMC had, and my wife's...
That's not how that works.
An eye monitoring system doesn't automatically mean just software is needed to make it "AI monitoring". Maybe in a rolling computer like a Tesla... but not most vehicles.
I know a few people with new (2025+) Lexus GX SUVs with the eye monitoring. And they all hate it...
And... where is this proof that it is likely?
Other than Congress passing a currently-impossible-to-implement-law, I have seen zero "proof" there will be AI-overlord cameras taking over our vehicles any time in the near future. IF this even stays on the books, I would be surprised if ANY...
Don't have bulbs to worry about having a RR
Probably just a manufacturing defect causing early failure. It happens. Sucks you'll need to take it back in, but I'm sure the dealer will fix that quickly.
Yikes... that is A LOT of text
I skimmed it, and agree with what I saw. I also had a 2024 AT4X (non-AEV) and while it was a nice truck the RR was the one I had always wanted. When the GMC got totaled, I used that as a silver lining to get the RR.

I think a few members have done the "chalk test" on the OE KO3s (for street use) and like pablo said... 36/34 is the sweet spot. You can even change the numbers in FORScan to match if you want.
For simplicity I set mine to 36/36 and put a sticker on the door. And adjusted the computer.
As far...
So this past weekend I did some mild off-roading that had some steep descents. I can say that in 4L in 1st or 2nd this RR is worlds better than my Canyon. It does actually maintain speed almost as good as my Taco did. Not quite, but good enough
