For anyone looking to fit a used tonneau cover I've just confirmed that a Bakflip hard folding tonneau from the previous generation Ranger will fit the new gens.
I had to modify the rails slightly. They are too long and will hit the tail gate. I removed about 1 cm with a cut off wheel. There seems to have been no negative effects on the performance of the cover.
I also had to make spacers to fit between the metal bed structure and the plastic bed cap. I just used a $5 cutting board that I cut to fit the space. Pretty simple.
One day I'll add some paint to the exposed metal of the rails, far too cold for that at the moment.
Overall a pretty easy install. It took me about 2 hours but I did not expect to be cutting things. I saved a lot of money compared to buying one of these things new.
