Ordered one of these covers for my truck. Received it and have been having issues with it not latching/locking properly on 2 panels on the passenger side.

After numerous emails to them, including pictures and videos of my install and the issues I am having, and being told that it is due to improper installation, I am waiting on some shims to see if this will correct the fitment and get this thing to work.

I've installed and then uninstalled it 3 times now, documenting and emailing them, so far, to no avail. (except the shipping of some bed rail shims that I will install/try to see if this rectifies the issue)

Getting super frustrated and may be sending it back for a refund and sourcing another cover/company if not satisfied with how the shims are or the operation thereafter.

Will keep this thread updated...

Yeah, encountered similar nonsense after initial install and a bunch of tweeking.

Damn thing requires finessing of rail tightness, and hand manipulation of rails to achieve alignment for panels to lock/snap in-place; typically 1st, 2nd panels from lift gate are most problematic.

Ultimately got'em all to lock. Since don't open/close panels often... good nuff I guess?1?

I just installed mine, on one side I had to remove the rails and install the clamps first and the reinstalled and everything was kosher. If one clamp is off it will twist the entire rail and cause it not to latch.

Make triple sure you've got those top rails seated and aligned with the bed. When I installed one of these on my dad's GMC Canyon, I held pressure on each mount point as I tightened the bolts. Also, overtightening the mounting hardware will cause it to misalign, too. Just some tips I learned the hard way...

I had mine installed by a shop, while having power boards installed and a bed rug. It has been flawless in its operation, so it can be done. If you need any pics or measurements, let me know.

I had same problem. Took it apart and reinstalled them just fine. Used a bike torque wrench

I installed the MX4 on my RRaptor about a week ago. Aligning and getting the latches to all consistently snap into the rail was a PITA. Make sure you don't overtighten the rails to the bed, that will cause them to tilt down slightly. From a combo of slightly loosening my rail bolts, shimming some of the latch assemblies on the underside of the cover, and taking it for a few drives around town, everything settled in and I snugged everything down.

Works great now, but took lots of finesse for all the latches to snap in without smacking them with my fist.

So after a few weeks of back and forth and installing and removing the cover 5 times, I have had enough. Emailed them and told them I want a RA to ship it back and a refund.

Waiting to hear back...

Will keep everyone posted.

I had mine installed by the guy who did my spray in bedliner. Line-X. He quoted my $50 for install (extreme bargain in my book) but never actually charged me, probably because I just had the bed liner done. Anyway, it is flawless. Could not be happier. I have it through two car washes with just a couple of drops of water. Other than that it is basically waterproof. I am 65 years old and not the most patient man so I am glad I had it installed. I am loving the cover and loving this truck. Peace.
