Sweet collection!
I have some pix from the old Datsun Heritage Museum that use to be in Temecula/Murrieta I can post in here if you like..... some various Z's, Patrol, Fair Lady, and some others probably.
A quick trip back out to the garage confirmed that I could put the fob on the drivers seat and lock via the keypad... Also unable to grab the door handle to unlock while the fob was sitting inside.
Oh! Bummer, but must get those items sorted out. At least you have some other fine rides to choose from until you get it back. I'm more of a Toyota guy, so didn't know Skylines went back that far until I saw this video recently.
Some more geeking out today as I wrap up my first 4 days of retirement with either relaxing or working on fun projects.... Tomorrow is when the house and yard projects start, so have to make the most of this last fun day!
First up was taking care of the wireless entry keypad. Which I must say I...
I used AMMO ReflexII since I had used some of the older formulas a while back and was very happy with them. So this time I splurged and got some of their expensive stuff this time. Overall I have been pretty happy with their stuff the last 7 or 8 years I have been using it.
It was a 2 day project of washing and doing a ceramic coating. I still need to do the wheels but realized I don't have a torque wrench that goes up to 100ft/lbs and I just don't feel like leaving home this weekend.
I just posted over in this thread that Employee50 worked for $50 off on the RR3 when I signed up yesterday: https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/raptor-rally-october-16-17-2026.30097/
I ended up booking yesterday for the rally and a hotel in town. Employee50 for $50 off worked for me.
This will probably be a 2 week road trip with visiting friends and family in OR, AZ, and CA along the way to and from.
Here's what I picked up as a temporary solution until I decide if I want/need something better in the future. For now I just wanted something to protect the seats if I happen to be rolling like a slob or dog sitting my little Frenchie niece for the weekend.
For the fronts I'm sporting some...
Nice looking ride and some cool projects along the way....
A question for you on the sound deadening since I have seen quite a few videos & threads (thumbnails and titles actually since I haven't watched or read any, and guess I should) and was curious as to what the reference point is on...
In my early days of doing automotive electrical work I use to service a lot of the alphabet agencies and they had similar setups to this and would have some material Velcro‘d to the headliner that matched and it did a decent job of hiding the shotguns or M4s they had up there.
Still working my way through this thread. Lots of good stuff!
Gotta ask, where did you get the dash mat? I remember those being all the rage back in the 80's and 90's, yet I never had one. :frown:
