  1. Checked out 2024 Ranger Lariat @ OKC Auto Show

I would refute the "Perform like mine" claim. The 2.3l ecoboost makes the bulk of its power under 1700 rpm. The ecoboosts are actually very good at having the power come in down low. The 2.3l makes it's peak torque at 3000 rpm (310lb-ft) where as the 3.8l is at 4400 rpm (281 lb-ft). Horsepower...
  2. Checked out 2024 Ranger Lariat @ OKC Auto Show

I would agree to some extend, but you make it sound like you can order the perfect Toyota. The fact is you can't order anything. They find the closest, and you get what you get. Toyota also bundles a lot of features in packages, and you can't get just heated seats. You need to get heated seats...
  3. 7/4 Pin Connect - Whats Wrong Here?

I could have sworn in one of the videos I watched, that the plugs were protected by a metal bracket.
  4. 2024 Ranger Technical Service Info

The only difference between sync 4, and 4a is the orientation of the screen (horizontal versus vertical).
  5. Progress! Now "In Production"

The date is when it is actually getting built. Prior to that it just means all of the required parts are accounted for, and lined up to start the build.
  6. 2024 Ranger Technical Service Info

Progress is being made. The below shows up under 2024 ranger retail incentives even though it shows a 2023 model picture.
  7. 2024 Ranger No Scheduling This Week (2/29/24)

Ford gives the dealer allocations. The dealer can only assign your order a priority number within the dealership.
  8. Milwaukee Auto Show

Honestly try sitting in the back of a Colorado or Tacoma with the front seat back. It isn't even possible for bigger people. The fact you fit at all like that, and that is worst case, is pretty good.
  9. Front License Plate Mounts -- any aftermarket fix?

More states require them than don't, so ford designs the bumper with a bracket mounting location by default. Only an aftermarket bumper would fix it. That is way cheaper than having 2 bumpers, especially if vehicles moved over state lines...
  10. Report: 2024 Ranger First Driving Reviews Coming in March - Ford Sponsored Event

The last person who posted optimism/insider info had the posts/account deleted. It was also wrong though.
  11. Report: 2024 Ranger First Driving Reviews Coming in March - Ford Sponsored Event

If a picture is posted than sure it was true. That said a lot of us have had a tear tag since 1/27/2024. The shipping dates provided to dealers thus far have been auto generated by fords system, and are not true. A lot of people have posted "My dealer said" or "Ford chat said". So far it has...
  12. Dallas Auto Show

Fords non base seats have been pretty comfortable for a while. Even my 2018 Taurus with the heated leather seats is super comfortable.
  13. Auto shows and Ford Test Drive $1,500 pirivate cash offers

Dang, I wish I lived closer. Maine is pretty far away, hah.
  14. late spring/early summer arrival

They don't want to release vehicles with issues, just to do a massive expensive recall. Ford is damned if they do, and damned if they don't.
  15. Dealer Listing Raptor In Transit?

I find it funny people argue something so vehemently based on their own opinion and not fact or even knowledge. Fun fact, the reason you can go to ford.com and build/price then find trucks that match or are similar from all ford dealers, is because it all comes from the same system...
  16. Sway Bar Disconnect

The ranger raptor is a "Baja Truck" and not a "Rock Crawler". I imagine that is the reason why it doesn't have a sway bar disconnect.
  17. For Those Considering the Toyota Tacoma

True, but the package for the larger screen is bundled with tons of extra stuff I don't necessarily want. Pros and cons of each. Ventilated seats, and no physical buttons for heated seats doesn't bother me at all. I also like having a key instead of push-button start, but I know a lot of people...
  18. For Those Considering the Toyota Tacoma

The ranger has physical controls for everything I need to use frequently. For some reason I laugh at the Taco's tiny volume knob.
  19. For Those Considering the Toyota Tacoma

My XLT is 42k with X-Plan. A taco with similar tech is way more than that, plus I can't even order exactly what I wanted. (That's putting aside the towing capacity being less than desirable for me, which is a deal breaker either way.)
