  1. XLT beats all other options...!!!!

I went with Lariat in my '24 and I think it's an excellent value with the 2.3L engine. Given the '24s also were before all the decontenting Ford has done to Lariat, not sure if I would make the same trim selection if I were to be buying a '26 model.
  2. Cigarette Lighter Socket Won't Stay Hot

Are you plugging into the 12v socket that's in the arm-rest? To prevent having wires running from the USB ports under the center display, I use the 12v socket under the arm rest for my phone charging, that socket does not power down when I'm plugged into it.
  3. HVAC vent temp not matching setting - is this normal?

If you're AC is running properly, it should blow 15-20 degrees cooler than your ambient in cabin temp. Ever notice the cooler you cab temp the colder the vent air seems to be?
  4. Bronco Pickup could kill the Ranger?!?!

If does does the stupid and kills Ranger they will lose me as a customer. Instead of moving to another Ford product when it's time to buy again.....I'll be buying a Dakota or (shockingly) a Ridgeline. Not a Bronco base P/U.
  5. Bronco Pickup could kill the Ranger?!?!

Whenever Ford can be convinced to build Ranger's they sell them. Production and sales figures are in line with each other. When more Rangers are sold to dealer inventory, more Rangers are sold. Funny how that works when you have a winning design and product.
  6. Ford to Stop Offering 2.7L v6

That belt is in need of replacement, lots of cracking in that pic, would hate to see what the opposite side of that belt looks like.
  7. Anyone ever think about their old cars?

My car before my Ranger was a 2016 FiestaST in Kona Blue. Yes, I think about her from time to time.
  8. Ford to Stop Offering 2.7L v6

If they did that it would be a detuned 3.0 otherwise not point in the Raptor unless it's neutered to be a trim like Tremor.
  9. When the SiriusXM Trial Ends... Renew?

Skip Sirius coded to the truck, change your subscription over to streaming. It's extremely cheap and doesn't restrict Sirius to just your truck, you stream it off your phone instead.
  10. Black Seats and Texas Summers!

Ranger comes with an option for tan seats. You could have also selected an XL or XLT that has cloth? Or get some nice aftermarket seat covers?
  11. Warranty declined because of windshield change

In your example, if, however, the tire shop does something that results in, say, damage to an axle or a suspension component then you would have the same outcome, the Ford warranty won't cover it, but the tire shop should. I saw in the original post this was a Granger warranty? If that's the...
  12. Another Recall - 26E04 for IAT Sensor Fault Detection

"Oh yeah, you started it" What next, you going to call me poopy head or dumb dumb face? Such a child.
  13. Another Recall - 26E04 for IAT Sensor Fault Detection

Wow, thank you for your acknowledgement of the obvious. You are so generous to say such nice things! You, sir, are a real Man's Man!
  14. Another Recall - 26E04 for IAT Sensor Fault Detection

I'm a little late on this but.....I wouldn't call an OTA a "recall". It's a software update that doesn't require any dealer service bay intervention, it's a software update. It's not as if engine component manufacturing defects have been identified that are causing Ranger engines to grenade at...
  15. Michelin Member Product Testing, 2 Spots Available

    1> 2024 Ranger Lariat 2> 4 door super crew 3> 5ft 4> Yes. Rhino spray in liner 5> No
  16. Stupid question - cell phone holder.

For my truck use, daily driver/not work truck/no offroad adventures, I don't understand the need to a cellphone holder due to the infotainment interface and connectivity - I have all cell features available without having to touch the phone once Android Auto has connected up.
  17. Lariat seems to have lost it's way

With all the decontenting that's been done to Ranger, I am very glad I grabbed a '24 Lariat when I had the chance during Feb of '25. The projector LED's (decontented) are very nice, the park assist (decontented) is a useful feature I'm using several times a month, the leather seating...
  18. $24,950 SLATE Truck / SUV Info & News

Those left-handed cigarettes Slate is smoking? Pass them along, I'd like some please.
  19. E85

You go from asking a question to being an expert. Enjoy your voided warranty!
  20. E85

Ranger is not designed for E85 use. You will eventually experience problems with rubber and plastic parts that come into contact with fuel. The engine itself is not designed for E85 use, the onboard engine control computer is not programmed for E85 use. You are also actively voiding your Ford...
