  1. Car wash tips

I'm a life long detailing fanatic on all my vehicles. First tip is to be sure not to wash your truck in the sun or if the paint is hot. If my Ranger isn't too dirty, I generally just use a generous amount of water while wiping it down, otherwise there are a number of car washes you can use...
  2. Has anyone found a good folding sun shade?

You're welcome! Glad it works for you.
  3. Has anyone found a good folding sun shade?

I prefer the type that fold and this one from Amazon is very sturdy and has a nice storage bag. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQC8S31Y?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1
  4. What color are your lug nuts

Here's my XLT with the black nuts.
  5. What color are your lug nuts

Yep, that's what I did before I picked up my XLT with the dark gray wheels. Had the dealer install black solid piece lug nuts. Looks much better than the chrome.
  6. 5G vs. 6G - what's gained/lost?

Folding factory headrests are easy enough to install. I added folding rear headrests on my 2025 XLT
  7. 5G vs. 6G - what's gained/lost?

Have you driven a 6G Ranger? I used to sell Fords and I feel a big difference in the ride quality, handling and performance. The 6G interior is a significant upgrade over the 5G as well. The 2025s have the updated 2.3L if you're going to go with another 4 cylinder:
  8. I didn't think the Raptor would be this much fun to drive...!

Oh boy....love that Shelby!!!! Along with the Raptor and Bronco, you've got yourself an All-Star Ford garage. 👍
  9. New Owner of a 2026 Ranger XLT – Excited Beginner Looking for Advice!

Based on recommendations here on this forum, I swapped out the standard silver lug nuts for single piece black ones. https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/replacement-lug-nuts-recommendations.20278/ I got this set off Amazon from DP Accessories, and the fit my XLT rims perfectly...
  10. Best license plate designs?

I found this PA plate from 1914 buried near the foundation of our barn: The newest PA plate that came out last year is boring! In real life the Liberty Bell is barely viewable and EZ PASS reads the 0 as an 8, causing all kinds of issues.
  11. Rim Websites?

I've used the Tire Rack in the past and always found their information helpful. Their site allows you to "see" what different rims will look like on your truck. https://www.tirerack.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoqIRERCQ-ZrnWUscGQuNvayvmeoCR_LBQ4EnBx_8Nhoa7f2Q_vz Have fun!
  12. 63 dollar molded floor mats. They dont suck!🤣

Nice find, plus they included sill protectors. I ended up getting my sill protectors from WeatherTech and they cost as much as you paid for your whole set!
  13. Like or Dislike Adaptive Cruise Control?

I find it very handy on long interstate drives. Hard to drive with manual cruise after getting used to adaptive.
  14. See America First - Road Trip: 2 months / 19 states

Great job with the photos Phil. Thanks for sharing and what a fantastic trip! Love your swag collection.
  15. What are we using for weatherproof floor mats?

I went with WeatherTech Mats, not floor liners. I was looking for a mat that would leave some of the carpeting up the side of the footwells exposed. Liners IMHO cover up all the carpet and look too "work truck". I've been happy with the WeatherTech mats...
  16. See America First - Road Trip: 2 months / 19 states

I've been on I-40 several times and it's a very convenient highway, but I always feel a bit melancholy for the businesses on Rte 66 that suffered when I-40 opened.
  17. See America First - Road Trip: 2 months / 19 states

What a great trip! We spent nearly 15 years in Sedona, AZ and visited a number of the sites you posted. Great pictures....brings back wonderful memories. We finally got out to Painted Desert and Petrified Forest last year. Amazing area.
  18. New Member From Louisiana

Welcome to the forum! I'm jealous of Raptor owners, although I really love my XLT.
  19. Dealer Loyalty

I was in auto sales and management for 45 years at two dealerships. Both were family owned stores. The service departments worked on any vehicles purchased anywhere. Their focus was to stay busy, so where you bought wasn’t an issue. Of course if you needed help above and beyond with a...
  20. Best stubby antenna?

+1 on the CravenSpeed Stubby. It was one of my first mods, as I too wanted more clearance for my garage door, and after 6 mos I'm well pleased with the reception. Easy install as well.
