One thing is certain, there's lots of opinions when it comes to oil. Sharing mine:
I use Valvoline Restore and Protect in my Ranger and F150 and do 5k oil change intervals. I started using in the F150 (3.5L Ecoboost) at 112k and it now has 150k--never hand any problems with the engine and a...
I purchased the Ford BaseCare plan from Grainger when I bought the truck (8yr/100k). I usually avoid extended warranties, but justified it in this case since powertrain components have got crazy expensive and I plan to keep the truck a long time.
Need to remove them to haul items 48" wide. I only have one on the right side and wasn't able to load a 4' wide pallet with it in place. Like others said, they come off pretty easy so can put on top of the cargo or leave at home.
I'll also add the swing box pretty much blocks the rear tie...
It's pretty simple and easy to drill the factory piece for a Redarc control knob. The trim piece is only ~$28 if you wanted a new replacement to keep on hand. Plus it retains the "coin tray"
Will be interesting to see what value this brings over Android Auto/Carplay.
I'm inclined to think Ford is trying to move toward a subscription-based model for infotainment and features.
I just installed in my Ranger, really pleased with the fit and quality of the Tackform mount.
For those wondering about comparability with Ram mounts, I'm using a Ram 1"/B size track ball mount (RAP-B-354U-TRA1)

It's not a perfect fit, the base is a bit wider than the...
Thanks for sharing, it's always interesting to see and compare oil samples.
Further confirmation an early initial oil change is a good idea.
Although it does make me curious what 7,500 mile (from new) oil sample would look like.
I have the Ford branded version for the right side and keep fairly heavy items in it (hitch, ratchet straps, tool bag). The box could be sturdier, but it has held up fine. It keeps things out of the way but is easy to take out of you need the extra bed space.

I once refueled my Ranger (XLT, non-raptor) when the distance to empty was 5 miles. I put in 18.35 gallons. With an 18.8 gallon tank, that would mean there was about half a gallon in the tank.
At least on the non-raptor rangers, the distance to empty is pretty close and there doesn't seem to...
I agree with your assessment. Have the same Goodyear tires on my FX4 and snow performance has exceeded my expectations. Not as good as a 3-peak rated AT or snow tire, but does decent for what it is. Certainly better than the Goodyear tires that came in my F150, which were worthless on...
