Because none of us can leave well enough alone (and why would you?), I took the last several days to complete the almost obligatory door sound deadening and Focal IS690/IC650 upgrades. I was pretty sick but the wife is out of town and I had nothing but time (and lots of Theraflu).
I ended up...
I just wrapped up installing sound deadener inside all four doors - MASSIVE difference in the tinny, hollow sound (post forthcoming)
I have some left over material and I was thinking: Has anyone taken the panel off the inside of the tailgate and installed sound deadener inside the tailgate...
Finally got around to installing the front leveling spacers on my 2026 RRaptor. I plan to keep with OE size tires until these wear out, then maybe upsize one. I also wanted to maintain a small amount of rake. The spacers I installed are simple aluminum pucks that install similar to the GOAT...
I was playing around with FORScan settings to lower the TPM Placard values for the TPMS. Essentially, 39 psi on the Raptor is too high so I wanted to set it closer to the "chalk test" 36 psi. I know the rear is really closer to 34 unloaded but for now am keeping it 36/36 for simplicity...
Yet another annoyance remedied by a bit of CAD and some 3D printing. This time it was to create seatbelt holders to stop the flapping when the windows are open, and to keep them from contacting the seat. I have passengers about 0.5% of the time, so the rest of the time I'd rather have the belts...
OK, I have to ask... does anyone know the intended purpose of the flat indented "panel" on the rear passenger side of the bed? It has some indents that make me think there is SOMETHING Ford mounts there for some purpose, but for the life of me I can't figure out what
Lots of 3D printed side step inserts out there on Etsy and eBay... but I can't just buy something when I have my own 3D printer (and some CAD skills)
These are the inserts I came up with. No fancy logos, but I did try to sort-of-kind-of replicate the "bullet" hole shape for the drain holes...
In my never ending obsession of using the 3D printer to fix problems (sometimes even if they don't need a fix!) I modeled up my own attempt at stopping water leaks in the six bed cap holes. I was inspired by purdyd's TPU attempt...
I posted a note in the stickied FORScan spreadsheet thread but didn't get any response so figured I'd make this more noticeable:
Has anyone successfully gotten FORScan to work on a 2026 Ranger (particularly a Raptor) yet?
Like many others here with a RRaptor, I was kind of appalled at the location and vulnerability of the trailing arm height sensors. There are tons of great options out there in steel, aluminum, and plastic. Since these don't really need a skid plate, but more of a stone-n-stick protection, I...
Been sort of lurking here for a few years, as I wanted a Ranger Raptor back in 2024 but they were just too damn hard to get so I got a GMC Canyon AT4X. It was a nice truck, but met its demise 4 weeks ago in a head-on
So I finally made the effort (well, my broker did) and picked this bad boy up...
I was searching RealTruck's website for 2026 specific covers and saw this new Retrax Pro EZ-Off tonneau
https://realtruck.com/p/retraxpro-ezoff-frc4000-full-bed-access-retractable-tonneau-cover/
Looks pretty sweet with the removable canister, but it is quite spendy too so wondering if anyone...
