  1. Is Listening to Music about to Suck?

Not sure what to expect. In two months, I'll be using hearing aids tailored to my not-the-best hearing. Knowing that the speaker for hearing aid will be the last in line for music listening, is the sound of good quality music going away? Part of me suspects it might. The other part is a wait and...
  2. Roadside Assistance for the FX4 🤣

    A little entertainment.
  3. Question Regarding the Transfer Case while 4A is Selected

For the Ranger 6G transfer case with "4A" available and selected, is the multi-plate clutch electronically engaged/disengaged when rear wheel slippage is detected; or, does it have springs and a pressure plate resulting in the clutch pack being engaged all the time and only slipping/releasing...
  4. Rebelle Rally

Anyone here participating in the last two events with their 6G Ranger? https://www.rebellerally.com Six of the top 12 teams were driving a Ford. Five of the six Fords were Raptors--including two Ranger Raptors.
  5. Kentucky Adventure Trail

First adventure with the RR and it was to drive some of the Kentucky Adventure Trail/Tour (KAT). Of the roughly 55 miles driven, 11 miles were on a gravel segment. This video shows some of that. Not difficult with dry conditions. No rock crawling either. Only embedded rocks. 🤣
  6. Cumberland Gap Tunnel

Another adventure to the area and had to run through the Cumberland Gap tunnels. Hear a 3.0 RR at 12k+ engine RPM too. 🤣
  7. Ranger Raptor Lean

Adding stuff to the bed of my RR, I now see it is a 1/4in lower; but, there is also a 1/2in lean towards the driver's side. Anyone else seeing this lean to the driver's side. Not the first time seeing sumptin like this as my '23 Tacoma did the same. This was not unique for my Tacoma. They all...
  8. Powersports Parts Shop

What's going on here? Seems suspicious, but someone spent a lot of time listing 1,000's of items. https://www.powersportpartsshop.com/?s=ford+ranger&post_type=product
  9. Q? OEM Tie Rod Charactoristics (left and right)

Ford parts break-down shows a single part number for the inner tie rod, but the left and right tie rods have different part numbers and costs. For those that have removed their OEM RR tie rods, the question is what is the difference between left and right tie rods? The after-market tie rods...
  10. Lane Keeping--Useful and Entertaining

So, the gentle nudges of the steering wheel to keep the Ranger in the lane are useful, but not always. Like when I see an on-coming dump truck, I move as far right as possible and can be taking the right wheels over the line to the edge of the pavement. Today, I was curious if the lane keeping...
  11. Fuel Pump Cut-off Switches and Faraday Bags -- Beat the thieves at their game.

How to prevent Ranger theft? Is your Ranger garaged at night? Do you park in [perceived] secure parking areas? Holy shit! The world is full of money grabbers and car thieves. What are our defenses? Buy and drive an '88 Yugo? Not for me! In reply to another thread, I mentioned a...
  12. Any Ford Techs Here?

As asked. Are there any contributing Ford techs here?
  13. Adventure Lab Bed Side Molle Panel Question

@AdventureLab I'm noodling a solution to hold a Rotopax mount and 2.5gal gas can in the right rear corner of the RR bed. Can the AL MOLLE bed panel be used for this? There is no intention of hanging the Rotopax can from the MOLLE, as there would be a platform under the Rotopax once mounted...
  14. Cleveland (TN) Ford Dealer

Anyone have first hand experience with this Ford dealer? Tia
  15. Hey there everyone!

Like many, I'm anxious to see the new Ranger. I may not be a first-year buyer as my '17 F150 is doing well. Had a strong desire to get a Bronco or Wrangler for a second vehicle for quite a while. While current problems with both vehicles, I've dodged the impulse buy. Probably for the best due to...
