@AdventureLab

I'm noodling a solution to hold a Rotopax mount and 2.5gal gas can in the right rear corner of the RR bed. Can the AL MOLLE bed panel be used for this? There is no intention of hanging the Rotopax can from the MOLLE, as there would be a platform under the Rotopax once mounted. So, the MOLLE panel would be used to hold the Rotopax can in place. This also has to be robust enough for some off-pavement jarring. Thoughts? Anyone else?

Tia.

It's pre-cut for our Packout plate and the Rotopax Mount on the driver and passenger side. However, if you're planning on something being below the Rotopax, you would need to relocate the mounting holes upward. The holes are positioned to securely rest the Rotopax on the bed floor.

Here are some photos for reference. The square holes in the first photo are for the carriage bolts that come with the Rotopax mounts, just for clarity.

These panels are extremely stout. They have been put through the paces holding multiple Rotopax by @Baja_RR in Baja at "supposedly" a pretty fast pace. 😜😜😜 I'm sure he'll comment here to confirm. That's his in the last two photos.

Good enough @AdventureLab. Thanks. So, the platform under the Rotopax is only mentioned if the can does not not set on the bed floor.

A quick update on the AAL molle panels which were thoroughly tested in Baja (note our missing front fenders and dented quarter panels). They are bombproof!

We originally had 5 x 2 gallon Rotopax attached to them. Pain in the butt as we need daily access in Baja since routes are planned based on F150 Raptors having 35 gallon tanks.

We've now switched to AAL Tuffjug mount for faster/easier daily access and added an AAL extinguisher mount to the molle panels along with Maxtrax Xtreme boards and DSM shovel. Plan to add some pack-out boxes as well.

The driver side molle panel has a cut-out for access to 110v plug and AAL added connections for ARB brushless compressor and 12v for AAL Starlink mount in Roam Case. Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply @Baja_RR. Totally get why you moved from the Rotopax to the the Tuffjug. Very good accessibility too.
