Mine has started this winter, hopefully it can be fixed. Do your trucks do it while stopped at a light with the brake on? Or when does it do it if at other times?
Iāve noticed it recently yes. I live in a cold environment and heat is always on. It goes in next week for a recall and is on the list for them to check out. Iām around 48k.
Hello Jimmy, Iāve looked and I cannot find the name that looks familiar or a part number. I had to contact a few ARE dealers in Michigan and they all told me I had to buy new. At that point I had already fit the cap and assumed the solution. A Grand Rapids dealer is where I got it from. Maybe...
Anyone have any feedback on 1-1/2ā spacers? I havenāt measured yet but they look like theyād be close. Do the 1.2ā spacers cause any rub in any scenario? Those with 1.2ā spacers, what is your take on if the 1-1/2ā would work? There are some close to me FS for $75 for 4.
There are 6 standard cap clamps I used, had to grind the inner lip off flush. There is a picture showing it installed.
I have not cut any shims just yet but I plan to use some UHMW or delrin material.
My Action Truck Accessories cap (actually ARE branded from Canada) fits like it did on my ā20 with 2 exceptions. The inside lip of the cap clamps had to be ground flat and I had to order a $213 tailgate shroud kit. The kit included 1 shroud, 1 sticky backed seal, 1 loose seal and 8 rivets. Drill...
Received the new rear black plastic cover/adapter piece. Came home, drilled the rivets out on the old one and installed the new one. It fits just like it should. The cover/adapter ordered was a kit from ARE which had the rivets and 2 new seals required for installation. Was a bit of a trick to...
Stock is a joke!! Ever cut the headlights out to see just the fogs at night? Pointless, just a dusting of light, not enough to drive at any speed with.
I spoke on the phone with a local ARE dealer today and he has on order the rear plastic cover for $231.00. He spoke with his ARE rep and verified that is the only difference between the model years, just the profile of the tailgate. Be on the lookout for ālastā model years topper and potentially...
The stock fogs are not that greatā¦I did see there is a bracket and I do have SSC1ās but was going to use them in the rear. So you like the SSC1ās as a replacement fog?
RR shown in the picture. Thoughts on using a stick bolt location down low? I understand these are in a questionable location but I am not a serious off-roader. However I do appreciate a well lit road. Currently it is a driving/flood combo from my last ditch light set up. I may switch to a fog...
I tried my 5G cap on my 6G and it fits like a glove with the exception of the plastic tail gate cover. There is a slight difference in the shape of it and doesnāt allow it to closeā¦
Any suggestions on what brand has a decent price point cap?
