Wanted to have the dealer do the first oil change and install the ronin plug. This way I wouldn’t make a mess as I’ve heard can happen with these yellow plastic plugs. Welp, they refused to install my “aftermarket” plug for fear of warranty issues.. 🤦🏻
Great to hear mike burton.
I also received my replacement, installed this weekend, and am very happy with it as well; date produced: 4/18/25.
My cover is 59 1/2” not including rubber flap. My rails are 59 13/16”.
It does still have the visual gap which I think is going to happen just because...
Was surprised the dealer had mine at 40, but then figured I’d give it a try (thinking better mpg on pavement with less rolling resistance) and will lower when off-road.. My thoughts are because my truck is FX4 they put the door pressure at an off-road recommended psi
I have been having similar fitment issues as well. Going back and fourth with them for a fix on the X4ts cover I have since January… hoping the third time is a charm.. and never received my $150 rebate either(Approved 1/30/25)
That looks and I bet sounds awesome! If you’re happy with it, that’s what really matters.. we all get to choose how to spend our earned monies. Thanks for supporting the community. But now I’m looking at those exhaust parts on the floor going, “Hmm, I wonder if I could fit that on my Lariat.”
I installed mine this week and had to do the same thing. I contacted Bak customer service and haven’t gotten a reply back yet. It’s clear the cover is an inch to short.
