  1. Disabling tracking device...... [ADMIN WARNING: NO RELIGION, NO POLITICS]

How can you expect a guarantee? If they get a court order compelling them to provide information, you expect them to defy that? Either way, your argument there is with the government. That was my point.
  2. Jeep Ducks? I think not...

So you're saying people should just follow your lead?
  3. Disabling tracking device...... [ADMIN WARNING: NO RELIGION, NO POLITICS]

You can agree or disagree with the vehicle tech, but unless the government is tracking you this isn't a Constitutional issue.
  4. Recall 26S61 / 26V548000 - Improperly manufactured engine pistons may fail and cause engine failure (Ranger 2.3L)

It has to be the 2 3. That's the only engine that's available in all of the listed models.
  5. Truck bed liner tips

The spray in liners are very durable. If the truck spends lots of time in the sun, the shine and color will fade. That doesn't affect durability or function. Most places offer a higher cost option that offers UV stability. I've never gone that way, and probably won't.
  6. Changing Your Own Oil - 3rd Party Extended Warranty Issue

Unless something has changed, that is valuable only for your own records. It doesn't use those entries into the CarFax report.
  7. Changing Your Own Oil - 3rd Party Extended Warranty Issue

The Magnusun Moss act applies to third party warranties. HOWEVER, it doesn't apply to service contracts, and the differences between the two can be confusing.
  8. Towing fuel economy... What are you getting?

That's similar to my mpg... Same camper, except ours is a 2022. Our truck has the 2.7 liter. We typically run 60 to 65 mph while towing.
  9. Unleaded Ethanol free 90

The "what" was answered. The reason it's often called that is because small engines typically seen on ATVs and dirt bikes still use carburetors and tend to sit for long periods. Ethanol is murder on those fuel systems.
  10. Anti-sway hitch for casita 17’?

Our NuCamp Tab400 is very similar to that Casita in overall size, weight, tongue weight, etc. We have the same truck ... '24 Lariat with 2.7 liter and about 1400 lbs payload. It's also just me, the wife, and one worthless Italian Greyhound. We tow without a WDH or sway bar. I've been in some...
  11. Fuel Injection Service Recomendation

Top Tier fuels contain the chemical that is branded Techron. There may be some fuel cleaners or injection service that shouldn't be used on Ecoboost engines, but I've seen nothing to make me shy away from Techron. As for octane, I run premium when I'm towing or otherwise operating at higher...
  12. Fuel Injection Service Recomendation

I buy only Top Tier fuel unless it's not available and I have to get gas. I run a container of Techron in the tank with each oil change. I have a '24 with 2.7, so it has combination fuel injection. I expect my injectors and intake valves will be clean for a long time. At some point when it's...
  13. 1st trailer hookup, how’s it look?

Make sure your RV manufacturer doesn't recommend against a WDH. They're probably neutral, but the manufacturer of my RV recommends AGAINST WDHs for my specific model. In my case, it's a function of frame construction.
  14. It's Finally Mine After 12 Months

You got there faster than me, but we're in the same place. I also have a mortgage, and have kept it because the rate is 3.25%. I've decided to pay it off ... the math isn't quite as important as the satisfaction of owing NOTHING.
  15. 1st trailer hookup, how’s it look?

Not that you said it, but a WDH doesn't change the fact that the tongue weight is included in the payload. Also, so many are suggesting a WDH, and all else being equal it is usually a good idea. BUT that's a small camper and the frame may not allow it. The trailer manufacturer should provide...
  16. 1st trailer hookup, how’s it look?

Good advice. My camper manufacturer recommends against a WDH with my trailer. It's a lightweight trailer but with a relatively heavy hitch weight. The Ranger handles the 500 lb hitch weight just fine ... I use an adjustable height hitch to get the trailer level. The rear of the truck has some...
  17. 1st trailer hookup, how’s it look?

You need to get the trailer leveled. First make sure the tongue weight is right. Ideal is usually 10% - 15% of the loaded trailer weight. After that, you have different options. If you don't need a WDH, just get a hitch ball carrier that puts the ball higher. I'd guess that you need another 1...
  18. New Desert Sand 2026 2.7L Lariat owner!

I really like that color. I don't think it was available on the '24 models, or I would have selected it. Mine is a serviceable but boring white.
  19. 3 month study, does drive mode affect MPG? Does it matter?

I haven't done a careful analysis, but that seems accurate for my use.
  20. Truck died making a right turn....

That's anything but stupid. Always check the simple stuff first. The hard part sometimes is looking for the obvious ... an oxymoron but still.
