@adrouin64 Thanks for the tip, that seems like a lifesaver, being able to access it from there! Are you still planning to release the full install video?
My kit finally arrived in the US and is currently clearing customs at the LA port, so I should hopefully have it soon.
So while waiting for...
I’m in the same boat, ordered the grille lights with the drl modules around a week ago and still waiting for that shipment notification. But I’m ok waiting if that means I will get pre-drilled pcbs in all 3 places so that I don’t have to break off the 3rd pin on the heat sinks.
Oh wow, that's kinda crazy. The brackets are free, so $0 x 140% tariff, should still be $0. Unless there's also a flat import fee on all items. Mine were delivered for free without any issues but it was also around a month ago I think.
I see, that’s awesome. Maybe that’s why my order hasn’t shipped yet, I placed it a few days ago. I’m totally fine waiting if it means I won’t need to modify anything. Thanks for working with them and being the guinea pig on all this!
@adrouin64 , @johnd93 did you guys end up drilling the pcb or did you just break off the 3rd pin on the heatsinks like KayaPayaPigDog did in his video?
Thanks for going through the struggle so that the rest of us don't have to! Sounds like I'm going to be approaching it through the fender liner after all.
Dang, looks like you basically have to tear apart the whole front end just to get the headlights off… Having tried both methods, which one felt less painful, removing the headlight or working in the tight space behind the fender liner?
Hey @Signature Lux , I just ordered mine along with the grille lights a couple of days ago. I was wondering, have you had a chance to figure out the installation instructions for the US-spec trucks yet?
I know it must be tricky without having a US-spec vehicle on hand in Australia, but I was...
I just ordered this combo on May 4th and it hasn’t shipped yet, I'd really appreciate it if my order could be adjusted to include the offer. Thank you so much!
I am not the one you asked, but I emailed them to the email address they have printed in the instruction manual. They replied the next day and then shipped the spacers for the brackets (see my post with the picture above) and updated longer screws. Once I installed them, the cover operated...
If it makes you feel any better those plugs that they tell you to drill are cheap (like 10-20 bucks on Amazon) and are fairly easy to replace. Just be careful not to drill through the cab as it’s pretty close.
Hm, if I’m interpreting the instructions correctly (they're rather poorly translated), that small metal block in your picture is meant to go between the bed rail and the plastic cover—right where the bracket clamps onto the bed. It helps fill the gap between the metal bed rail and the plastic...
I reached out to them, they replied the next day and said they will send me "updated bracket" and attached a picture. It looks like it's just a set of spacers and longers screws for the existing brackets, which should solve the warping and binding problem (hopefully).
I was thinking to...
You can actually disable just the reverse sensors in the menu and keep the front ones. I did that for my bike rack, backing up with the sensors on was really annoying.
I find that I don't usually rely on the sensors anyway, the backup camera and the mirrors are enough for me to back in into...
This has the 3.0 V6 turbodiesel as the only option for the super duty, ain't no way this is coming to the US. They could stick the coyote in it for the US market but it probably won't have the same towing capacity
