I'm cynical. I still have 3 more recalls to address. Two now have been "fixed" with OTA updates plus a couple of general OTA software updates. Wonder how many other recalls will get a software "fix"?
I received a OTA software update for the A pillar/visor recall. I thought it required a physical inspection. From the notes included with the update it says if visor lamps quit working to take it to the dealer otherwise recall is complete.
How sad, instead of actually fixing it they just have...
I ordered a RR from Long McArthur at invoice. It took a year to get built so in the meantime I bought a RR from Chuck Spaeth Ford in New Ulm , Minnesota. I paid just over invoice. Great dealership, highly recommend them.
Houston Ford dealerships are some of the worst for sales. As for service I can speak of Gullo and Planet Ford.
Gullo seems slow to get anything but an oil changes done. I've used them for decades with decent but slow service. They seem to not have enough repair techs.
Planet Ford has very...
I bought mine out of state for exactly the same reason. Automation saleman was quite arrogant to boot. He wouldn't give the price over the phone I had to come into the dealership. I didn't but found the $10K addon in one of there online listings.
I didn't know RR brakes were different than regular Rangers.
I have a RR and the brakes aren't anything special. I have wondered if the brakes off a Explorer ST would fit the Ranger. Those brakes are much better than Ranger brakes.
The phenomenal braking of the Explorer ST was it's biggest...
I wonder how much variation there is in the sensors between trucks. 5-3-1 may not be the same on all Rangers and model years. Also may be different depending on where the Ranger was built. When I have some free time I'll test mine and post if I find a difference.
My 2010 Escape was more like...
That price is much more reasonable. I have points from buying the truck, guess that would be a good way to use them. I bought folding rear headrests with some of my points so the catch can will cost me a bit more.
Thanks for the info. I couldn't understand why it would fit as there appears to be no changes.
My 2025 was built a day after the cut off date that Ford listed.😩 Was holding off until the issue was clarified.
Ford should make high performance Ranger for the street something like the old supercharged Lightning. Maybe with a Coyote or 3.5 from the F150. I'd trade in my RR for one especially with a V8. Before someone says buy an F150 to get all that, I want a four door pickup that fits in my garage. The...
They are farm to market roads like FM 1960. The state is so large the numbering gets to four digits due to the number of farm to market roads in the state.
Yes it does get more challenging in the hill county and east Texas. But somehow I can't drive less than 10 over where ever I am. On the Interstate I drive 90-95 and still am being passed all the time. With the RR acceleration and passing is effortless.
