There's an old saying that there's no such thing as too much horsepower. (The problem is not enough traction....)
I used to believe that.
Until I drove a manual transmission Hellcat Challenger. 700 hp is really too much. At every opportunity it will try to kill you... Fun? Hells yeah!! But you need to be capable, and respect it. Screw up and it will kill you.

Compare to say, a Miata. So much fun, not because it's powerful or special, but because you can take it out to curvy road country and drive the living crap out of it. Push it to your limits, maybe even find its limits. Pure driving Fun. My 5.7 manual Challenger with the handling package wasn't the fastest or the best handling car I've owned, but it was one of the most fun. Pure grins.

405 hp in the RR is not too much power. The truck doesn't try to kill you if you aren't careful enough. But it does need better #$@&$ tires!
I interpret your experience with the Hellcat and the Miata proves your original statement: "The problem is not enough traction"

A RWD Hellcat with 700hp is too much for a non-professional driver for a RWD platform. A RWD Miata is manageable for a non-professional driver with 200hp. The Miata will not allow you to get yourself in trouble, the Hellcat will let you get yourself in trouble

I want to get rid of the heavy ass factory beadlock capable wheels, I feel like they really are holding back the feeling. I honestly can't tell if I have the FP tune or not. I might try to reflash it.

Ford should make high performance Ranger for the street something like the old supercharged Lightning. Maybe with a Coyote or 3.5 from the F150. I'd trade in my RR for one especially with a V8. Before someone says buy an F150 to get all that, I want a four door pickup that fits in my garage. The midsize trucks are all that fit. A cool Ranger sport truck would sell and claw back market share which they desperately need right now. Ford's sales this quarter were in the toilet. With little new on the horizon other than that midsize EV pickup that no one is asking for and an expensive new Bronco trim level, I see Ford market share continuing to erode.
As a lifelong Ford customer I am dismayed by their current model lineup. Very boring with only the Raptors adding any real excitement.
