How much gas left when on 0?

Lived there in one house for over 60 years and retired to TN.... I miss NJ but not the cost of living nor the idiots that run the state.

Lets not even get started with that mess. If it werent for my parents still being here, I would have been out long ago.

So back to the thread. Does anyone have an exact number of reserve gallons, or is it a complete hypothetical estimate at this point?

FUEL TANK CAPACITY Capacities Variant Quantity 2.3L and 2.7L. 18.76 gal (71 L) 3.0L. 20.34 gal (77 L)

So, regardless of capacity for whatever reagion or engine you have, the question is about how much left when you hit 0 miles left.

The "miles to empty" (DTE) is just an estimate based on your driving habits and fuel use. Most trucks leave some fuel in the tank when the DTE hits zero, but the exact amount varies.

Based on your numbers, you had about 1.89 gallons left when the DTE showed 11 miles. At 14.7 mpg, that lines up with having around 15 more miles left. The reserve amount isn’t usually listed in the manual because it depends on conditions like driving style and terrain.

Most people avoid running that low because the fuel pump stays cooler when submerged in fuel. If you want to test it, carrying extra fuel is a good idea.

The one I just posted earlier about enabling the snowflake? Yeah, I saw the 21.1 listed there too. Guess the manual is wrong.

Run it till zero and find out.
My 5g would run 3 miles after it said 0 miles to empty and filles with 19.3 gallons. Lets see if the 6g is the same. Just carry gas with you and get back to us. Or wait for me to post an answer in a few months.

No, that my tank is 21.1 gallons. I dont know what youre trying to instigate, but I never said anything in my thread about what other countries have for tank sizes.
