I tried doing a search but couldnt find anything. After 5k+ miles, Ive felt that the DTE on the gas guage is pretty spot on as you drive. Its not like my previous cars that vary by 100 miles or so from begining of the drive to filling up the tank.

Today I ran the truck down to just 11 miles left when I pulled into the gas station. I couldnt find anything in the owners manual about how much reserve is left at that point. I filled it with 18.45 gallons and the tank is supposed to hold 20.34. So technically, I had 1.89 gallons left at that point. I was averaging 14.7mpg with this tank. So that would mean I had somewhere around 15 miles left if I were to actually get down to that 0 mark.

Does anyone know exactly what the reserve amount is?

I've been wondering the same thing. Even if I get down to single digits I only fill a bit over 18 gallons. That's even with giving it a minute after first click to add more.

Dr Google to the rescue.....

A 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor typically has a 21.1338 fuel tank, meaning when the "gas left over" indicator appears, you likely have roughly 2.5 - 4 gallons depending on the fuel gauge accuracy and driving conditions.

I have been driving for about 40Km after the gauge showed 0. but I am on a V6 diesel, so there is quite some fluid left in the pump, filters and pipes even with tank empty

Right, but if you go into the actual owners manual, it states a capacity of 20.34, so which is correct?

21.13 seems the right one, cause it is 80lt that is what is in the manual for EU/AU

They probably rounded off in the manual. After all, it covers all rangers. I wouldn't worry. Prob why it says anywhere between 2.5 to 4 gallons. Also, how much you go over the fill amount by pushing the pump till it spills over. ;)

It doesn't cover all Rangers. In the US, the Raptor has a larger tank than other Rangers. Regardless of the 💯 capacity, the tanks ARE different.

I always give it one more hand held pump after it clicks off. So the 18.45 I filled this morning was including that.

Can tell you are from NJ...lol. ;)
Hey, I resemble that remark. Also, Ive been filling my own gas here in NJ since I started driving. I dont trust anyone to remove the thingy without flinging gas all over the paint.

Lived there in one house for over 60 years and retired to TN.... I miss NJ but not the cost of living nor the idiots that run the state.
