Where and how much did you pay for your ProCal install?

Excellent thread CherryCoke! I bought the tune at lethal performance and have not had it installed yet, but that's not the question. I too am curious how much to expect an installer to charge and how long it might take. I look forward to some helpful responses from those out there that have had it installed .

Time to install is less than an hr. So anyone charging over an hr is gouging you.

Hourly rates vary, but the time should not.

The fact that anyone here is actually paying a mechanic to do this is hilarious to me!

I do feel the same way about this. When I had my tune for the Focus RS. Cherry installed it for me , for a coke.

$100 plus whatever tax is in your county is fine. Anything over, not so much.

Peoria Ford, Arizona. $180. 1.5 hours. Both dealers I contacted had a specific tech for accessory or tune installs. This dealer it was the shop for person. The had two ranger raptors and two raptor R in the showroom. +$15K and +$75K respectively. Ouch!

My dealership continued to jerk me around for weeks so I ended up taking it to a small ASE certified mechanic shop and paid $75. Total time was 15 minutes because I had already registered it and put the tune on the device.

I had already uploaded stock cal and had perf cal on device.
Took about an hour, including doing the power window recall.
Cost was $110.

$65 labor and 73.45 out the door.
I purchased the ProCal from Lethal. I had already created my Ford Performance account, took the backup, and downloaded the tune to the ProCal. All they needed to do was the upload to the truck.
Total time they had it for the tune and window recall was 45 mins.

Took like 2 hours and paid $380 for the two hours of work. I got the unit from a ford dealer and got it on sale for like $675

I pre-staged mine up until the point the tune is applied to the truck, and had the local dealer's mobile tech apply it when he did the window/door module recall. They quoted me $150, and ended up not charging me anything for it since it was so easy and only took 5-10 minutes to write the calibration files. They added it to the repair order so I could register for the Ford Performance 3yr/36K warranty.

Service manager at my local dealership is awesome, didn't charge anything because I had everything prepped, he just pushed the button.

It helped that I was there for an oil change, tire rotation, and the PCM flash for the window regulator recall so he added the line item for the calibration on the paperwork as well. Which by the way the pcm flash will delete all your settings in the dash for R mode and gauges. BUT it held all of the changes I made with forscan.

Interesting, my truck had the regulator recall done and didn't lose either R mode or gauge settings.

My door module recall PCM flash did reset those items too.
