On SxS's there is a stand alone controller that all the inputs go into. I would bet the Ranger has one also. I don't know if the software could be updated if there is a bug in it.
It would be nice to have a override to set them soft/hard. I've never been able to tell the difference between normal and off road. There is a difference normal and sport.
My wife bought a new space white 2025 F150 today and got $14000 off. So, there are some deals out there. We also had a $2500 Farm Bureau Personal offer.
We paid for my wife to go also. She had a blast. This is about as high off the ground as you will get.
If it's during the mid summer, it can get really hot and dusty there.
It should be able to easily take it even with the diff locked. Hopefully it was just a defect. I have heard of some Bronco owners breaking them with trail turn assist.
I had a 2004 5.4L F150 with noisey cam phasers. It didn't just tick when first starting up but all the time. I sold it 210,000 miles and never replaced them. It was still running strong when I sold it.
I had the same problems with our F150. I bought the Mongoose and spent about 8-9 hours updating it. It now updates OTA. I should have left it alone after updating the first round and left OTA off. The last few updates added lane keep every time cruise control is engaged, the running boards are...
How does the power compare to the ST and Powerboost? My wifes Powerboost is pretty quick. I think Ranger is still not at full potential even with the Ford Performance cal. It's probably due to torque management for the 10R60.
Mine might have updated to the latest version because I did a FDRS GWM update. They will eventually update OTA. I did notice with the power steering update there seemed to be less stiction. I don't remember if before it had trailer side view toggle before the update to the trailer module.
I ran FDRS on my wife's F150 and did about 10 updates on it. I decided to check my Ranger and found 3 updates on it.
They were:
PSCM - Power steering control module
TRM - Trailer Module
GWM - Gateway Module
I have not driven it yet to see if it made any differences.
