Sitting at the dealership and I’m getting a bit nervous. I told them the FP Tune is on the truck. They want me to flash it back to stock before they apply the recall fix.
Told them I dint have the tuner with me. They are going to use their tools to flash it back to stock before applying the TRM fix.
Is this normal? And will I simply have to flash the performance tune back to the truck using my tuner?

kinda worried at the moment.
TIA

EDIT: The tech came out to speak with me and told me this recall software update for the TRM will not affect the FP Tune. Wish the service advisor would have known that and avoid having me doing searches and posting here...

I had mine done last Thursday. Pulled into the service bay at 7:00 AM. Didn’t have time to finish my dealer cup of coffee. I pulled out of the bay at 7:24. It must have only taken 15 minutes or so to complete.

They did Mine while it was in for oil change and it wiped the tune. Hooked the procal up and had the tune back in just A few minutes. My procal had the firmware update on it.

They probably did the PCM recall also. It would wipe your FP tune.
