I noticed this panel gap upon purchase of the truck, yeah it's small and not a critical issue but for a $60k truck you'd expect better...
I brought it up to the dealership and they took it to the body shop and they tried to push it back into the clip. That lasted about 15 minutes before popping back out. They had determined that a clip needs to be replaced. That was on August 22nd/25. As of December 29th I've heard pretty much nothing aside from my salesman finally telling me it's on backorder during my last service visit.
Are these clips really that hard to get ahold of? Or did he just forget to order it, sale is over and he's trying to pull a fast one on me?
I believe it must be a fairly common issue as there was a desert sand truck with the gap in the same spot. They had a white and carbonized grey on the lot as well and no issue. So it seems to be hit and miss
