Well folks, Itās time for me to move on. Thanks so much for all your input, much appreciated!
I traded my Ranger in this morning for something to commute with. All the best to everyone with their endeavors š
ok, got a call early this morning that my Ranger was ready, seems it may have done a bit of sitting around.
Upon pick up I had to get a manager who then got with the technician that did the workā¦the explanation of exactly what was done is this: used FDRS to check for B1 NOT present, update BCM...
basically they check for a short to ground, if not found then kick it out the door (24 hr). If a short is found then take apart interior as necessary to get at wiring and fix (48 hr). Iāll post back and update on what actually happens.
I might tell courtesy driver to drop me at nearest Honda...
My particular dealership does not come to the house but does offer courtesy pickup and drop off.
I spoke with them about pinched wire/vanity mirror recall this morning. 3 weeks to get loaner, Iām on the list.
Iāve had this happen twice. Both times I left the sliding rear window open and locked the vehicle, walked away. Now I check that little window before walking away to make sure itās closed. Hasnāt happened since.
I rented a Tacoma for a week before buying my Ranger, that was enough for me. Engine did not sound good, surprised at Toyota. My brother bought a Ridgline, long story but they gave him another new one as a replacement. Surprised at Honda.
this is not a rant, itās good information for the rest of us, sry for your troubles. Iāve had my ā25 Lariat for just about a year now and love itā¦but I love me more. Not taking this Ranger into my retirement in 5 years with expensive repairs on the horizon. Time tells all.
I have same, following. Maybe itās time I got myself FORSCAN, whereād you buy yours and do I need a windows laptop or will my iPad work? Thanks in advance.
Iāve had this happen 3 times in the year that i have owned my 2025 Ranger Lariat. Each time it will, on its own, cycle through different driving modes and switch to 4wd. A bit freaky but would be hard to nail down an intermittent glitch like this.
You were right, spoke with service advisor this morning and she told me to show up at 9am and theyāll have it done within the hour. Theyāll inspect the bolts, if found loose, they reschedule to remove seats and fix.
I have same year/model Ranger as yourself with same headlightsā¦do you notice the ppf affecting the functionality of the projector beam headlights? Thanks.
