Just a point on the "Oil change at 1000 miles is pointless, Ford engineers know better than you do" argument.
When you're a company selling hundreds of thousands of cars per year that often include free oil changes, you sure as hell aren't telling all those customers to come back at 1,000...
Employee discount :sunglasses:
I'll let everyone know if it actually fits.
Edit: Also double check the part number. A google search takes you to that link, but it's not actually the same part number. I assume you're at Levittown or similar. I think it's so new that not all the sites have the...
Bak initiated a return for my 2025 cover, so that's good to see.
Rolling the dice on this hard rollup from the Ford website, listed as 2026 fitment only. I'll report back.

Truxedo also replied with a special part number for 2026, which they listed as 1431801. Can't find that one either. They did offer to set up an exchange, though.
Update: Bak told me new hardware won't work, and I need to buy a whole new cover, which they just released for 2026, and they'd be happy to sell it to me...
They said products for 2026 Rangers should end in "352" - so the MX4 for example should be 448352. I don't see it on the site yet...
Most tonneau covers bolt into the holes in the side of the bed here (for the 6G Ranger.) The rail then extends over the plastic bed cap and rests on it. That's a fixed height. So it will extend into mid-air over the thinner bed caps on 2026. None of my 3 covers (Bak or Truxedo) have enough...
Air gap is definitely smaller. There's still 1/4" or so. It would probably hold a fair bit more weight than the old design. Nothing mentioned in the '26 owners manual, though.
I think the shims wouldn't work on the 2026. They would stick out over the top of the plastic. I'll pop the covers off when I get home and see what it looks like under there.
