  1. New TURBOSMART Intercooler (Installation Pics)

Thanks for the post! Def interested. Any concerns with the loss of the rear shutters? Not quite sure but I think they help pull in air when not in motion? I may be completely wrong.
  2. Oil Capacity Awareness

They did and said it was in the middle of the hash marks. Again, they are used to the 2.3 and 2.7 engines in the Ranger. I wasn’t upset over it but diligent none the less.
  3. Oil Capacity Awareness

I know there are many threads on this but older so posting a quick update. I mainly just wanted to say thanks to this forum and all the input. I took my RR in for the brake recall so while there, had them perform an oil change and tire rotation. Because of what I had read on this forum, I...
  4. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

That’s fair, thanks for the clarification. I guess I read it differently but what you say makes sense as well. Obviously, I would like to run it w/o the side panel but don’t want the CEL so was hoping they would have just acknowledged it and said they would send me the part when ready vs...
  5. Ranger Raptor K&N Cold Air Intake being released +27HP

Are you running the stock IC or an upgraded one? Also guessing you have a ā€˜24 model so no CEL to worry about?
  6. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

Per their direct posting on the website and the detailed post from Nick0188 it is an issue and they are dismissing it: I was the one who posted on Facebook with the CEL after installing. I talked to S&B a week or so ago and confirmed with them it’s a real issue, but only on 2025’s. For 2025...
  7. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

Sooo, I reached out to customer service and this is an odd response to their posting: ā€œAfter speaking to the engineering team, this shouldn't affect your vehicle. You can go ahead and install the kit as is. In the event of CEL just let us know and we can update yours with the revised parts when...
  8. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

Wow, yes, quite the difference indeed! I've emailed customer service. Will leave it on until the fix is ready. Guess I should think seriously about an IC upgrade as well...*sigh*
  9. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

Great info, glad I'm still watching this thread. I have my side panel on, so obviously no errors. RE: the comments on the side panel off, heat soak, etc. it's interesting that S&B specifically states this on their website: "Our silicone edge trim provides a protective seal against unwanted...
  10. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

Looks sharp, nice job! I was thinking of swapping out for the Cobb IC. How hard was that? Do the stock charge pipes have to be swapped out or more for looks?
  11. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

I understand not using the side panel for more turbo noise, but is there any concern on pulling in hot engine air? That was my reasoning for leaving the side panel on. I could not see a path for any outside air to be drawn into that side opening due to its tight location.
  12. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

Follow the video instruction, you’ll be fine.
  13. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

Ah, maybe that tune? I have the FP tune and no problems.
  14. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

That’s interesting because the video instruction does not mention disconnecting battery.
  15. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

None for me so far. I’ve been driving it without any issues. Were they throwing codes immediately, after driving for a while, with any other particular mods?
  16. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

I want to say yes? There were times I was like, ok! But didn’t want to read too much into it on the first drive.
  17. S&B Ranger Raptor Intake available in May

To be fair, I chose to use the side panel and have the top on. Maybe if you left the side panel and top off, you would hear more. Others may do this and can report. I wasn’t going for sound. I wanted more efficient airflow.
