So what is going on with the cold starts? Obviously when you first start the truck up it sounds really good even with the stock exhaust but after 30 or 40 seconds or so the sound cuts in half. Any idea what that is?

It definitely has a proximity sensor. Leave the vehicle running and get out of it with the key in your pocket. When you get about 5 ft away it beeps twice at you to remind you that you've taken the key with you and the vehicle is still running.

I downloaded forscan and did it myself and I'm not very computer savvy. There are references online to help you do it. As a side note, I have Ford procal and that has A section on it where you can correct wheel diameter for proper speed.
