Also am curious about how this works... I wonder if there's a dummy plug that can be used to trick the vehicle into thinking there's a trailer connected.
https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/water-leaks-from-bed-rail-caps.12872/ that thread also has some additional useful info about what's under the caps and how to seal fully if desired.
Does water get stuck under the mat? I also have the spray in liner, was wondering if there's another way to get those interlocking tiles to sit flush.
Definitely considering the bed mat setup like you have, but a bit concerned that it might let water pool underneath. Any issues with that?
Could you post this in the main FORSCAN thread and/or update the spreadsheet? https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/forscan-na-ranger-6th-gen-2024-crowdsourced-spreadsheet.12611/
Looks good, that cover seems quite similar to the REV one so I suspect that would also work with the cargo setup.
What did you line the bed with? I still get some water ingress, but with your setup that looks like it would keep things up off the bed nicely while letting water drain underneath.
Water still leaks even though I siliconed the caps, starting to think the water is still seeping under the rail caps themselves from the sides. Just wanted to mention this since even though the caps are now fully sealed, you will still probably get some water ingress along the sides (albeit far...
I wouldn't say the stock Goodyear ATs are "good" in winter, they struggle at times in just light rain. It's more of an issue when trying to stop though or in 2wd... With 4x4 it's pretty hard to get stuck. I got some winters to help out next season (Yokohama).
I want to replace the stock...
The manual does mention that lane centering may not work when towing, and strongly cautions against using it when towing. I believe tow mode also increases the steering force required slightly.
Sometimes it can correct quite a lot which may cause the trailer to sway unexpectedly. I'm guessing...
There's a few websites that do custom decals and sizes that are pretty easy to find, where have you been looking? Aside from larger independent sites you might also have better luck with Etsy.
Also keep in mind the 14" will yield an extra 15-20 HP compared to the stock 10" ones.
Did you 3D print those? I'm curious if a rubber seal of the correct length would fit as a seal (either for those custom closer fitting ones or the stock one).
I've been using silicone for mine but it doesn't seem to adhere well to the plastic. So far it's been water right but isn't the most...
I got the 3-panel REV tonneau cover from Ford, and want to make it fully waterproof. The tonneau itself is pretty water tight, but the inserts in the rail caps still leak badly. This was already discussed in another thread, but the end results usually look similar to what I have now:
I used...
My 2025 doesn't have it, just a 120v. I don't think they added wiring for the 12v, so even if you did add a fuse you probably would need to run wires through.
Just the center screen. The IPC is just an 8" with regular fuel/coolant temp gauges on each side.
I recall someone tried to put the 12" IPC in with some success.
I just installed mine this weekend, it does seem a slight bit of leaking happened in one spot. Not sure yet where from, but probably side rail weather seal. Carwash is a good idea for testing.
