Has anyone noticed that while you are towing, the lane keep feature seems to be disabled or is much less effective than when you aren't towing?

Normally when I drive long highway trips I can turn on ACC + lane keep and the car essentially drives itself. While towing a few days ago, I tried to enable the same features and found that the lane keep either didn't work at all or in a few instances it slightly kept me in the lane but it wasn't doing the normal functionality I was used to.

I couldn't find anything in the manual about tow/haul mode changing the behavior so I was curious if I'm just doing something wrong or if others have noticed the same thing.

The manual does mention that lane centering may not work when towing, and strongly cautions against using it when towing. I believe tow mode also increases the steering force required slightly.

Sometimes it can correct quite a lot which may cause the trailer to sway unexpectedly. I'm guessing they limit the amount it can correct during trailering for that reason.

Didn't say that I was.

Nothing about the stock ACC/Lane keep in this truck is hands free so i don't know how that's relevant to my question.
Ok, Ill rephrase. Please don't let the "car essentially drive itself" while towing.

Also, I get a warning when I plug the trailer in that says something about the cross traffic and BLIS systems, but I haven't paid attention to it long enough to see if it includes anything about lane keeping. I just assumed it wouldn't work.

Yup,no cross traffic alert because it would go off constantly sensing the trailer. Trailer plugged in deactivates lane centering. My lane keeping still nudges me back into my lane while towing, experienced it first hand with a 50mph crosswind !
