I have a pile of recalls sitting on my desk. They are so frequent that I think Ford should make them trading cards.
I have been waiting for my dealer to get the parts to do them and when they have the part, another trading card comes in.
I have been warned not to use the local dealer by fii but...
I got mine done two weeks ago. I dropped it off at 7am for oil change, 10k maintenance and the side curtain. Got a call at 9:30am it was ready for pickup. No issues. The tech said he had done a few of these and they take about an hour‘ish.
# 12 with a shallow tread and solid lip. That pattern looks easy to clean. The others are a PITA with the vacuum and cleaning between all those skinny tread going multi directions.
I sent this idea to Muslogy a few weeks ago to see if they would manufacture a cover for this. All the one I found online only cover the dial, not the buttons.
I looking for a cover to protect buttons on drive mode wheel from being stepped on by my dog, in the first photo. The solutions I found online only protect the wheel & not the buttons, like in the second photo. I made cardboard cover that worked until it fell apart & that is the extent of my...
I have almost all your goodies for the Raptor. Everything is well build and are great additions to the truck. Have ever considered making a cover for the off-road wheel / buttons? My dog constantly hits mine shifting to 4x or 2x. I made my own cover, it sucks, and all the one I’ve found online...
Latex Cargo Net all the way! Why? Because I like my gear secure and my truck looking sharp. Non-latex? That’s like bringing a pool noodle to a white-water rafting trip—just not the same level of confidence. Plus, who doesn’t love a little extra stretch when life gets bumpy?
I think there is something to reset with low voltage. when I drive my truck daily no issue. If I don’t drive it for a few days is resets. Once I put a battery tender on it when I am not driving it daily there has not been an issue.
The dealer is replacing it with no fuss at all. There body guy looked at it for 30 seconds and said it was not prepped correctly.
It is confirmed that these are painted. They said they had too many complaints on the plastic molded ones, and now look what happens, paint peel.
Case closed!
Thanks for the insight. This happened while they were prepping the truck so no ppf on the part.
The body shop said to paint it they have to sand it and with texture on it there would be a flat spot and it would not look right.
Cost to paint $500 to $600 from two body shops.
Cost to purchase...
My RR is less than a week old. I had a ppf put on and when applying the ppf the paint peeled on the driver side wheel well. I already called my dealer to report it. I have not heard back from them. I am expecting a battle. If they won’t replace it, I at least hope they will sell me a new at...
