  1. Cutting out the plastic webbing at cold air inlet

Took the measured path and did some reasonable trimming, and got rid of upper grille shutter assembly
  2. Any members in or near Santa Clarita Ca? Test vehicle needed for new product, extended automatic transmission dipstick.

Thank you for making progress on that, yes I believe I had heard a portion of that info previously but was a bit unclear, Thanks again and hopefully you can update later
  3. Any members in or near Santa Clarita Ca? Test vehicle needed for new product, extended automatic transmission dipstick.

Is the 19-24 2.3l bolt for bolt positions and dimensions identical and mounted in exactly same position relative to other(most/all?) components for sure? or is the 24 2.3l unique in some ways as described?
  4. Any members in or near Santa Clarita Ca? Test vehicle needed for new product, extended automatic transmission dipstick.

Mike those look so nice...did you consider naming them twice? Lol, those are some darn handsome brackets and the angled logos could look legit on both sides on top. Thanks for the project update and for the 2.3 people we are looking forward to the possibility of a kit! The quality of your...
  5. Cutting out the plastic webbing at cold air inlet

The ones I have are rated varied at around %80 open
  6. Cutting out the plastic webbing at cold air inlet

Lol, I was going to actually provide a quote so that's awesome you posed one! Although maybe I should have cropped the source from the image...
  7. Cutting out the plastic webbing at cold air inlet

Totally appreciate that. Yes although I'm not expert on warranty or Ford warranty I haven't been really too concerned so far with regards to modifications causing warranty issues. The whole assembly is expensive as above, but I could probably remove the whole assembly potentially as it's not...
  8. Cutting out the plastic webbing at cold air inlet

Oh sorry I didn't mention that was simply a example/sample photo above, not my truck /setup
  9. Cutting out the plastic webbing at cold air inlet

I did remove #3 as it was a seemingly useless support for a small portion of the cover and clipped in with a 2 loose plastic tabs.
  10. Cutting out the plastic webbing at cold air inlet

Here is a diagram of the part, Front Upper Radiator Shutter Assembly- certainly not an inexpensive piece of plastic
  11. Cutting out the plastic webbing at cold air inlet

Running a ported TB and IM so thought it couldn't hurt potentially, and maybe get some more spirited mechanical sounds outside the engine bay? Probably really just to do it though
  12. Cutting out the plastic webbing at cold air inlet

I can see the silly aspect certainly but based on the thickness of web fins, the number and orientation of the webbing, along with examining the surrounding structure I can't see it weakening the piece as a whole, except if there was major blunt force at the forward face, but even then there...
  13. Cutting out the plastic webbing at cold air inlet

Is interesting that the closest grille cells to it at very top of grille are blocked off dummy cells
  14. Cutting out the plastic webbing at cold air inlet

Well whatever structural support and filtering the fins might do would seem to be minimal, of course any detriment to flow would be as minimal or less as well. I may think about cleanly removing the fins and installing a coated wire screen in the rectangle surround/frame
  15. Cutting out the plastic webbing at cold air inlet

Was looking close at the area under the front cowl plastic cover(radiator support shield) that feeds intake air up to the air box and saw plastic webbing(baffling ?)crossing the flow path, I understand it's there for some structural support but was considering trimming it out to get a more open...
  16. Anyone install actual cup holders in their tailgate panel?

The panel weighs maybe 5-7lbs as I remember
  17. Morimoto 3rd brake light clear coat burnt thru quickly

I did call Morimoto tech, they indicated that they have seen the issue before but after a longer time of 2-3 years and they indicated that it was unlikely due to a wiring issue. Being that it works as it always has I'm just not certain it's the wiring heating up, although the pattern of coat...
  18. Morimoto 3rd brake light clear coat burnt thru quickly

Here's the link-https://www.ebay.com/itm/226700471909 Looks like it's out of stock now but at one point it was at $50-60 I forget so if it's just mine that this happens on not a huge loss. I just got it at the time because it was a much cheaper option
  19. Morimoto 3rd brake light clear coat burnt thru quickly

Certainly possible as I had to cobble together a harness with the additional wiring that was included in the non-Ranger kit. It was definitely a different kit I believe for F150, I'd need to check for the exact part number. Seems to be working the same as when it was installed though, let me see...
