First serious off-road excursion with the new truck.
Up to about 12,000 feet in elevation in Colorado.
The front camera sure comes in handy, love that feature.
Very pleased with the off-road capabilities. The downhill descent control is great.
The brakes are soft. The 2025 is better than the 2024. I test drove both of them. Consumer reports called out the breaking power as well.
I can live with the breaks on the 2025, but I'm keeping my eye out for after market breaks, rotors, and calipers. It's an easy swap.
I have not sat in an XLT but I can say the Lariat seats are the most comfortable truck seats I have ever sat in. I also own a BMW X5 and the seats are as comfortable as those.
I am 5'9" and 175 pounds to give you perspective on how I fit in the seats.
I am a big fan of Corsa.
I had Corsa on my F-150 Raptor and I've seen and heard them on other cars like corvettes. Best sound out there.
I have my eye on this and I've reached out to Corsa to ask if it fits on the Ranger 2.7.

I've seen this with multiple Apple CarPlay stereos, with no commonality between the car and the stereo. I've owned two different stereos and I rent a lot of cars in my work. The only commonality is the iPhone.
I resolve it by turning off Bluetooth, on the iPhone, waiting 5 seconds, and turning...
I really like this solution with the Garmin power switch and mounting it on a battery mount plate.
Can you confirm the battery mount plate from Pirate Camp Co fit on the US Gen Ranger battery?
If need be I do have a contact in Australia that could buy it and ship to me but a US distributor...
The Dobinson lift appears to be the best so far. I have not pulled the trigger yet. Planning on doing it next year.

Regarding the warranty, there were several law suites on that topic a number of years ago.

I'm right there with you. I live in Colorado as well. Colorado mountain driving is different than pretty much anywhere. Driving on a road that climbs several thousand feet in elevation in just a few miles requires as much horsepower as you can get.
@Donnie B where did you get the ceramic...
Love that F-100 reference. When I was a kid back in the 80s, my dad had an F-100. IMHO, that was the perfect size truck. Big enough to haul gear to a camping site, small enough to drive around the city, with enough power to have a little fun. I learned to drive in that truck. Maybe I'll get...
Typically, drive shafts require custom fabrication based on measurements taken from your truck.
It is common to need a custom drive shaft after installing lift kits on trucks or in high-performance street racers; however, there are too many variables to make a mail-order custom drive shaft...
