4L is generally only for first gear crawling. I'm 66 years old and have never shifted out of first gear in 4L.

True. I was stating that I picked the 2.3L over the 2.7L because the 2.7 L does use a wet belt for the oil pump.

I special ordered my 2025 Ranger FX4 Lariat with the new 2.3L engine, due to all of the stated upgrades. Plus it has a metal oil pan and no wet bet for the oil pump.

My FX4 Lariat started production Aug 4th, built by Aug 14th, and is waiting to be shipped.
