I have a J&L catch can installed in lieu of the short PCV hose mentioned in the bulletin. I wonder if I should remove it before taking it in for the BCM update. BTW, This is not a dirty engine as the catch can gathers almost nothing. Probably a waste of money.
I dont think this is related to update, my Lariat did this from day 1, the dealer removed and reinstalled the drive mode wheel and it fixed the issue...I believe its a fairly common hardware issue
Highly considering...Have a Lariat FX4 now. The Raptor is just a little much as the truck is really just my daily. Tremor may be the sweet spot...hope they use 3.73 rear end and not 4.27...Love the 2.7 engine
If the truck is gonna sit more that a few days, I plug in a trickle charger. BMS only allows a charge up to 85 % I believe, so deep sleep doesn't take long to kick in. This somehow saves fuel (yea whatever).... BMS sucks !!! I believe the 85% can be increased with Forscan....
This is true..threw me for a loop as well.. i assume thats a 2.3 EB used for the test but he never really says that... Its like he just threw in the "rubber belt" piece....
Yes, I get that completely. Lotsa noises....It blows my mind how they go out of their way to build such a stout engine ...CGI block, fractured forged components etc and then throw on a rubber oil pump belt.....seems crazy
Its the drive mode dial switch. I had a similar issue where when you changed drive modes, it would keep scrolling to the end. They ordered a new switch. Ford sent the wrong one..the tech didnt know they had the incorrect switch but the process of him removing and reinstalling the old corrected...
Probably not an issue at all but It just doesn't make sense why Ford would put so much into this engine compared to their others and then do a wet belt...Ive heard one reason is to prevent engine vibrations from transferring to the oil pump which is a high horsepower point of failure on the...
Just wondering what the 60 MPH RPMs run on the RR. Do the larger tires compensate for the lower rear end ?? How are they an the highway and with normal road use ???
Love and want a RR but honestly it would just be a daily for me....I know it doesn't make sense but they are so damn cool.....
Not sure thats it. I can look across the garage and see the cluster light on and am nowhere near the truck and the key is way in the back of the house. and this is at 5 AM. I bet most people dont even notice it. its probably more prevalent than we know.....I dont think its a malfunction, just a...
Mine does the exact same. No rhyme or reason to when it does it either. I assume it is connecting to check in or loading a update but thats just a guess......
My buttons on the wheel work fine, If you you rotate the wheel and quickly let go and let it slam back, it will usually work correctly and stop scrolling. This makes me think its a physical connection issue as I dont have any of the other gremlins with self changing modes etc...
I have similar issue with the drive selector wheel. It will keep scrolling thru the modes even after you quit turning it. Dealer has ordered a new selector wheel but its on national backorder. Hope that fixes it. Seems to be a ton of bugs with this system on these trucks.....
