Oh shoot! Yeah that changes everything! I didnāt realize you were that far north. I shouldāve looked at your location. Just another dumb Yankee assuming yaāll live right on the Canadian/US border, HA!
Whoa! Thatās salty for just for over the border pricing. It came to a tick under $3.9K out the door (installed with the keyless key fob option and an extra set of clamps for good measure) and Iām in WA State on the western side where we run at nearly 10.5% sales tax. Even at 4K usd that should...
Itās the frameless curved back glass on both the ARE models that really sets off this brand! You just donāt see a lot of canopies with that feature or style. Really cleans up the look from the rear where most canopies really underwhelm in the looks dept. Itās also why I like the single side...
Hell yeah! Both look good!
Too bad they havenāt brought the Everest to the Statesā¦..Now THATāS a good looking SUV! Nothing against the Explorer but that rig has it beatā¦.in spades. If that were available here thatās what the wife would be driving, Period!
Installed yesterday and love how it turned out. Went with the exact same model I had on my previous ā19 F-150 which served me well. A.R.E. Revo with the curved back glass (no plastic duck bill out over the tailgate), front slider, and solid non-opening side windows. Some will hate the...
Iād call/email Sounds Good Stereo. Great guys! I bet theyāve got something for the non B&Oās or can point you in the right direction or even fabricate something. Itād be worth talking to them about what youāre going after. Good jump off point.
This is what I used. To me itās a nearly PERFECT match to the gray bumper & trim. Yes the can says black but itās in the way that the textured variety lays. And the textured isnāt much. You feel it more than you see it. I also did the skid plate in this as well. 6 months later and still looks...
Iāve found this to be a nearly PERFECT match to the dark gray RR bumper & trim. Went from that horrible silver to color matched gray. Yes the can says black, but it has something to do with the way it lays with the textured variety. And by textured it isnāt very much. You donāt really see the...
Quick question but you wouldnāt happen to have a 2026 model would you? I know Ford changed the rail caps on the 26ās (thinner I believe). If thatās not it then they shouldnāt be like that, they should be flush. Maybe give AAL a call or email with your pics. Sorry for the poor fitment.
For...
Yeah I couldnāt help myself either and did the tailgate. Seemed kinda ridiculous at the time and still kinda does, but I had to do it. I love the thud the t/g now makes. Not so Coke can-ish.
Youāll really enjoy how the SDāing quiets down the truck and helps the audio as well. Especially the roof when itās raining and the doors on the highway. Plus, it gets you up close & personal with the interior of your truck which, to me, seems like a plus should you ever need to fix/maintain/up...
Iāve noticed a HUGE difference over my previous F-150 which also had the glass panoramic roof, which I hated. That roof was horrible. That being said I do run my windows dark. 15% on the doors & back glass and 35% on the windshield and it is all ceramic and yes I went back over the rear doors &...
I think you hit it in the head. I used about 3 boxes doing the dual layer method on all 5 areas. Seems like 5-6lbs./box is close so Iād back up that 15-20lb. total. And itās spread out evenly over the whole cab so itās unnoticeable. Beyond worth the price & time of admission!
You āmightā be able to snake SDāer up behind the storage compartment by dropping the o/h console w/o dropping the headliner.
ā¦ā¦maybeā¦..might be worth a cheap, easy, fast shot. Just spit balling.
Time to sound deaden & heat deflect the roof! Did it myself couple months back. Worth its weight in GOLD! Both for sound (roof is beyond tin can-ish) and heat dissipation. Dropping the headliner isnāt as bad as itās made out to be if youāre careful & methodical (about an hour each way). One of...
Sounds Good Stereo has/fabricates everything you/we need for a fairly easy install to gain access into the factory stereo/amp harness without having to hack into it at all. Truly P&P!
Tore out the measly B&O sub and went with the Stealthtech box with a 10ā Hertz sub, but itās now powered by a RF...
Itās thin single layer sheet metal with a couple structural crossover rails. Nothing fancy. Hereās a couple pics for reference rear & forward before SDāing. If you opt to drop the headliner (really isnāt that difficult, took about an hour each way) then do yourself the bonus of adding sound...
I agree. The AREās are built like a tank, in Ohio, and my previous one gave me zero issues in 4 years of ownership and that 150 lived outside and here in the PNW. Only time it ever showed water was near the tailgate upper corners after pressure washer style car washes and it wasnāt very much...
