I'll help you! I'm extremely Ocd, spent countless hours figuring out a solution and said f* it. Drilled a hole under the pannel for the light and installed the red arc tow pro elite. I drilled the hole about 3" inline with the OEM light control knob. Works like a charm honestly I regret wasting...
I have the blank (plastic cover). I removed it no wiring behind it like the 2025 from what I red. So I would have the 110 wiring but I guess I need the inverter? I saw somewhere that it is supposed to be under the driver seat?
I wonder how much more power the alternator could handle. I checked...
I checked under the bed and I have wayyy too many wires I don't even know how comes I have so many available that are on the truck side but not on the bed side. Same thing goes for the seat. In the bed I have all the same wires as you but I have the budget baller ranger with the STX only. Does...
Imagine us in canada with winter half the year. In winter we get -30% fuel economy. I was crying the whole winter with that little 250mi range when NOT even pulling.
I'm at 3000km at so far half of them where while towing. I've towed up to 5500 pounds in the enclosed trailers with 4 people in the truck and the bed full at night. Drove that for 700km. Full highway speed.
Ah and no WDH no nothing matter of fact I hadn't brake controller installed at first...
Old topic but just saying, I simply re-used my bronco winter tire which are 265/70r17 and simply slapped them on there. They were one year old only. So new-like condition. Doesn't rub. I don't even feel like I'm that close to rubbing. I would totally dare going a quarter inch bigger once the...
Canadian here where we count our pennies a little more than in the USA and don't straight up go purchase a F-350 for a 900# trailer for "stopping concerns". I had the 2.3L in the bronco with which I towed 4700# when moving my condo (I was super axious about ripping off the hitch) and we were 3...
As my currency feel like pesos right now (CAD), 2800 USD is crazy expensive!!! Thanks for heads up I'll follow your info! I'll get that fuel tank one day I'll pull the trigger (the day CAD are worth more)!!!
Oh wow didn't know about the grommet. Thank you for that info. For the wire side of thing, when you say seat side you mean the gray connector under the driver seat? and for the truck side you mean out of the engine bay fuse box?
Hi,
Anyone has ever done it themself and is there somewhere I could tap into for the current? Obvisouly I could run a wire through the firewall. I did it on my old car back in the days but I had to poke a hole in a water tight rubber seal... I'm looking for a cleaner way to add heated pads...
dealers, especially sellers, are something to get rid of. You go there and if they're like the last one I saw "this specific ranger is more expensive because it has STX package". Like all ranger in canada come with minimum STX package... drop facebook on the job and start learning your business...
I saw in another thread that you said the truck that came with tow package only had a different harness than the ones withe OEM TBC? Is that confirmed. This would really means the end for going the OEM route.
Do you use the liberty or the pro one? (red controller or black controller). Not much use for the black one but I'm the guy who prefer to put more now so I don't have to change it later. But I can hardly justify the 100$ more.
