Toyo only had LT tires in my size. I don't need LT's so I didn't want the added weight. The Nitto's had great reviews and they're very quiet and light weight. I'm very pleased with them.
Has anyone had an issue switching drive modes? When I turn the dial it often jumps through all the modes instead of going one at a time. I like to switch to sport mode and often it keeps going to the 4x4 modes. Then I have to turn the dial the other way to get it back to sport mode.
LOVE the tires! Almost as quiet as the stock tires and they aren't LT's so they're not much heavier. I like the look and you have 2 sidewalls to choose from.
Thanks, the lugs got a little scuffed tightening them up, even without an impact gun but not too bad. They were cheap so if they get rough I'll just buy some more.
Thanks, I did install them myself. No drilling but I could not get the front 2nd hole in the front flares to line up on either side. It was off by a good bit. I just skipped them and they seem fine without so I haven't messed with them. The lights were kinda a strange deal. I was installing...
I haven't been in any messy situations yet with the new tires. Just installed them Friday. These flares have integrated mud flaps so I think they should perform well
Thank you! Sometimes less is more if you know what I mean. I can't believe the boards don't fit a 26! Did they change the BCM? Physically I'm sure they will fit. There's a plug that plugs in the OBD port and you have to tap 1 wire under the left kick panel. The instructions were very vague...
Those +25 wheels are about 1.18" out from the stock wheels you might be ok with that. My tires are really tall at 33.2" and they just barely rub the liner at the tread corner. If you get the 32.6" tires like 285/65r18 you'll be fine. I think all I need to do is pull the liner back a little...
The spacers were to widen the stance. The fender flares made the wheels look too sunk in for my taste. I wanted the wheels flush with the flares. I have a slight rub at full lock that I think I wouldn't have if I didn't have the spacers. There are guys on here running the same size setup...
Here's some pics of my upgrades. I have some with the retractable running boards in and out so you can see how the lay.
So far I installed:
Amp Research PowerStep Vision Running Boards with the LED strip.
BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover
Elevate Suspension 2-Inch Front Leveling Kit
Nitto Terra...
Put on some Nitto Terra Grapler G3 275/70R18 on the stock BAP wheels with 1.5 spacers and a 2" level. They are a lightweight, quiet tire. The spacers where perfect to go with the fender flares I put on. There's a slight rub at full lock. I need very minor trimming if I can't tie the liners back.
They are pricey but worth every penny. Especially when you're trying to splice a whole bunch of wires that are close together. You just line up the channel of the bottom splice part of the tap on the wire and screw it down. You're not fighting with big bulky taps. Always connect the tap part...
I have the Bakflip MX4 on my 25 and it leaks soooo bad. I returned it for another, same leaks. If you want water protection look elsewhere. I'm going to try and add some better weather stripping but I wish I went with a different cover. I have one on my 2019 truck and it didn't leak but...
