Look that up on the YouTube. I have not gone down that badger hole, but it's def a topic that gets alotbof attention. I see the thumbnails all the time.....
I'm very familiar with DLC. All three of our gun models use it on the black slides. Awhile back I got to meet a tech from one our vendors who used DLC to coat 3d printed clutch plates in aircraft/helicopters. He swears by it.
Haven't read your material yet. I will this weekend though.
I'm on board with most everything you posted. All this truck has been fed is Shell V-power 93. And Penzoil Ultra Platinum. I'm interested to read up and learn about your point #5!
Thanks!
Been looking through the threads and I have not come across this topic. Any veteran tuner advise would be much appreciated!
My question is this. After the tune is Installed, should I put it in sport mode and stomp on it non-stop? Or just drive normal?? I want the max HP, but i'm also after...
You'll need to go in and pick up the kit. Take it home and follow the instructions to download and connect your Procal. And also to create an account and register your tune. There is a code/key in the kit with all the instructions. You'll then have to take it back to the dealer and they will...
I had the exact opposite experience. Ordered mine the 26th. Just got the email that it's ready for pick up and installation. Called my dealer, they said I have to go pick it up, take it home and register it.
Original price: $962
After discount: $609
I'm pretty stoked!!! That I moved outta CA...
You can go down a deep ol rabbit hole on the break in procedure. Lake Speed Jr has some good thoughts on YouTube....
I went with changing it myself, at 600 and 1,200 miles. Added the Ronin drain plug. Super easy to do. Then you can get into what type and brand of oil etc.....another rabbit...
You have to go on ford.com and specifically search for "performance tune" that will give you the tool AND tune....Make sure it's the 3.0 ranger tune....😎
Just bought the Procal tune with my Ford points and PROMO CODE STAR2026 for 25% off!!! $610 installation included!
The code is good for all accessories ect....
This set up is super easy to install and makes it drip free! Made out of solid billet, the fit and finnish are top notch! Leave the cap off when refilling the oil and you can easily check for leaks and ensure the valve is seated. I also zip tied the drain hose to the valve. Done!
Imma huge believer in the KO3! I ended up in some seriously sticky mud that was 3 to 4 ft deep and over a 1/2 mile long trail. Every time I thought I was gonna get stuck, I gave her the beans and it leaped out of the hole! Wasn't aired down and those tires just ate that mud with no issues!
