It is my understanding that trail control is only for level and uphill driving and at very low speeds.
If you were going downhill, you should have been using downhill assist or as you mentioned, 4 lo and driver controlled.
They are not shipping to California because the 2026 model also uses the same tune and it is not approved yet.
Ford is avoiding any fallout from the Cali regime.
if you know anyone outside of Cali, send to them and have them reciprocate. The dealers will still install it in California.
