You got lucky with that Transit order. We ordered ours on 6/08/22, the day after the order banks opened, and we just finally got the email saying it was scheduled for the week of 5/29. Also just a cargo van. Luckily we found almost the exact same thing sitting on a lot in Seattle a few weeks ago...
We've been talking about it, sure, but outside of this niche forum of a 1000 or so members, the vast majority of the population doesn't know or care about the 6g Ranger. So I would hardly expect Ford to rush into an announcement/reveal simply to please a fraction of those 1000 or so forum...
If you drive more conservatively you can pretty easily get over 400 miles on a tank. I've gotten over 500 miles on a tank a few times with my 5g Ranger. That wasn't necessarily easy, but it is possible.

Yeah, the final straw for it in the F-150 is because of the hybrid. The hybrid F-150 had comparable efficiency and more power and torque, essentially making the diesel irrelevant. That, combined with low demand to begin with, made it not worth keeping as an option.

The Rams have had coil spring rear ends for years, and they do just fine at towing and off-roading and everything else. It's definitely possible, just depends how much investment manufacturers want to put into design and development of a coil rear-end system.

They could do something. They could revoke the dealer's franchise and/or no longer sell vehicles to them if they really wanted to go to the extreme. They never will do that of course because that would mean them losing out on money and distribution, but pretty sure that's within their power.
