Sorry, don't check 6g often. These were a hot item on the 5g forum, on ebay, I got them for my 2019 back then, and just swapped them out on my 2024. They were in great condition after 4 years, are solid 1-piece, not 2 piece like the factory chrome. "The wheels are the eyes to the truck's soul"!
Nope nope nope...not music to my ears....did a Borla on my 4g 4.0 V6 and it was mo better! Stayed away from this mod on my 5g because of the 4 banger sound.
Great writeup Scotty...I just did a round trip from NE PA to Columbus OH steelmaking convention. Started with only 700 miles on Olaf, my XLT. Added about 930 miles, in 14 hours, and exactly 25.0 mpg when I got home. Granted the truck sat in the hotel lot for 4 days, so it was almost all...
Happy Cinco de Mayo! Olaf and I drove about 470 miles, all highway, to Columbus OH for a steelmaking conference...rode great, & muck quieter than my 5g, sorry Pepper! About 24 mpg...
I was confused by gas at Sheetz, difference between 87 recommended and 88 octane...thoughts?
Olaf got his first bath today, it hit 62 degrees...I used to rate a car's washing ease, 1 to 10 when I was in high school and worked at the local Chevy garage. This 6g is harder than my 5g, maybe a 5 vs a 6. A 5 bc the front grill is tougher, wheels have more nooks and crannies, wipers are...
Yes mines like that but white. I installed the Gator bed cover seal with tape over the holes, but the remaining holes on the vertical puzzle me? Why all the holes, different sizes? They will leak water and dirt into the bed!!!
Hey Nassty ME...No, the length and width fit perfect! I cut out nada... The only difference was in the wheel wells as expected...a small gap at each side since they moved the shocks out for a 4 foot sheet to fit flat on the floor, which doesn't matter to me.
The arrows point to all the small...
Swapped over my Gator EFX hard bed cover, fits nice. Also Husky mats, bed mat, Cover King seat covers, and black solid lug nuts. Console tray doesn't fit, too narrow, got a new one.
Has anyone noticed that the 6g tailgate is actually steel now? They abandoned the 5g aluminum...I think the only aluminum on the 6g is the hood! Take that F-One Fitty...Great for magnet lovers, and me, I'm a steel guy, 32 years at Bethlehem Steel💪
