I like your bumper lights, what all functions does that light bar have, and very curious how it’s wired in, and if your truck now thinks you have trailer hooked to it.

I have been in search for way to run my redundant lighting, tail lights, stop/turn/ reverse without rigging the auto trailer detection system. Which when it thinks it has a trailer it disables safety stuff like cross path detection, etc.

I purchased this from the Ford Accessory site. I had a black friday code for 30% off and pulled the trigger. It is Putco. Here is a link: https://www.ford.com/product/exterior-trim-kit-by-putco-tailgate-light-bar-assembly-p2919128966 Shipped free to local dealer.

No cutting wires, all plug and play. Hardest part was connecting to the third brake light under the headliner (having to undo seat belt bolt to pull down headliner). All wires included, plenty of extra. Doesnt interior with trailer lights, it avoids that harness. Essentially the taillights unplug, you plug in provided pigtail, and then plug it all back in.

The only thing I didn't do was ground a wire in the back so they don't light up with the running lights/taillights. I didn't want them to "run" when the headlights were on, just when I brake, turn signals, and reverse. I guess I feel it may save the lifetime on them since I drive a lot after dark. Probably pointless, but whatever.

Very pleased. 2hr deal total. PLENTLY of wiring included. It all starts behind the left rear seat wall area.

Here's the kicker - my son has a 2024 Maverick and was looking to buy one and I discovered it then. We called Putco, and they haven't made the plug and play for the Maverick, only Ranger/F150/Superduty. Basically, it would trigger the trailer breaking system. But this Plug and Play system doesn't. So he's pissed. :).

Hope this helps.

Good info thanks. I spoke to PUTCO last summer, they didn’t have anything for the 24 Ranger yet, They said it was in the works but no ETA. Sounds like they got it figured out.
‘Thanks again for the info.

Thanks for the link to the light bar, biggie! I'll check it out.

Raptor running boards. I didn't mind oem except the ugly gap between the frame. Ford sells a filler strip but these were half the cost and hide the gap

I have installed Realtruck rollup bedcover, Auto start/stop override, Huskey floorliners and installed a leveling kit this week. That's about it for now...

I figured out yesterday, it’s a good idea to turn off auto folding mirrors when it’s cold and snowy out.
