I replaced the AAT sensor trying to fix the AAT temp being off most of the time. It didn’t help. I would guess it’s a software issue. I’m surprised more people haven’t been complaining about this issue.
The gas nozzle at the pump can be the problem. If the end piece on the nozzle comes off, it won’t go in your filler tube correctly. You probably got it forced in. The flapper in your filler tube won’t open until the detents on both sides are pushed in by the pump nozzle.
Putting each key in the backup slot and then cycling the ignition each time should bring up the keyless code in the message center if it’s a push button start with factory keyless entry.
Bronco’s are doing somewhat the same thing. A service bulletin was recently released for a multifunction switch replacement. Maybe the Ranger will end up with same fix at some point.
