Why Ford chose chrome exhaust tips for the Ranger Raptor is anybody's guess but it drives me nuts every time I look at it. These are the same tips I had on my 1975 Ford Torino...

I've got a black truck and literally nothing else on the back has chrome on it, and these chrome/silver tips just stick out like a sore thumb.

I'm trying to source some way to cover them with a black silicone sleeve or something like that. I've seen a few trucks online with what looks like black silicone covers on the tips and it looks 10x better, but I can't find any threads with an actual link to buy them. I ready to buy a can of Rust-Oleum high heat flat black and just say F*** it!

If anybody has found them or knows where to get them / what they are listed as, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

How do you install them
Dah went to tread you listed and read how to install

Thanks
If I had to do it over, I might have tried heating them up with a heat gun and/or tried silicone spray or some kind of lube besides soapy water. I had a hard time with the second one for some reason. Like was mentioned, have a 2x4 and mallet ready. But make sure you clean off the tips with scotch brite or something first.

He’s only got one left. 🙁 I just asked for an update if he gets more.

I bought the last one for now. I think 6 inches on each side will be fine. Will see how it looks.

I found them from another seller for less money. 6” might be fine though.

For a better look, you might want to leave about half an inch or so extend beyond the steel tips. Otherwise if they are flush, you can easily see the steel part. So in my opinion 6" may be too short. I think I cut about 3" or so off the 12" sleeves.

I’m guessing you cut them before the install? I would think it would be darn near impossible to do it afterwards.

Would you happen to have any pictures?

I keep forgetting to get pics. Will try to remember.
Yes, I cut them first. I put a hose clamp on them to the length I wanted, and used that as a guide.

Here ya go. Another member didn't want the shine so he matte black painted them. I don't think that's necessary. They get dirty.

Thanks for the pictures sir! That looks great! Very much looking forward to getting rid of the out of place chrome on my truck.
