I fit mine in my bed minus pallet. It was on top of my Decked inside my camper though. Pretty sure it barely fits diagonally. Worst case, u just need to prop one end up a little bit.
I believe that was for certain vehicles like F250. For 6g ranger i believe its across the board. They did that change before this generation. I can confirm that there is no easy forscan way ~currently~ to do it. I have a ā24
I have a house battery in the bed that i ran power from for clean 12v so i wasnt pulling power from the taillight. Could also be done by just plugging into the cig plug in the bed i suppose. I think that ones live anytime the car is on but i could be wrong
Yup ive seen those as well. Glad it worked out!
I didnt want to run wires to both brake lights. I also went way overboard because of my setup but i had the standard brake light before and just did the normal brake light tap. Yes it showed dim for running lights which i think is fine actually...
Nice! Mine just happens to be in the bed so its near the brake light obviously.
Also ps thats the most full windshield washer reservoir ive ever seen hahaha
Looks like a clean and good install!
i have power in my bed from a house battery so i actually use that to power these and the just use the lines coming of the the brake light harness as trigger wires so they arent really pulling any power.
I also used a 3rd party piggy back harness that has...
Yea i made this for my camper. White runs off reverse trigger from tail light, 6v triggers the low power light of the red lights for running, brake light powers the high power mode of the red lights, and then an aux switch powers the ambers.
I did a ton of debugging on this and created my own custom solution for a custom third brake light.
What i can tell you is that the brake light wire carries two signals: ~6 volts for running light and 12v when brake is applied. Thats why its dimly lit when running. If you dont want this...
Glad it worked out for you. Cody is the only guy I found that could even re-calibrate for these larger capacity fuel tanks.
For other people thinking about this Re-calibration, Iāve been driving mine for a while now. After several tanks full of fuel, I have manually calculated my DTE (distance...
The hero we needed. Thank you! Hahaha
i wonder if he would be willing to ship out the MPVI4 for a cost and rebate it when shipped back or something like that for people who just want this done remotely. Otherwise i guess we could do this amongst ourselves too. I just dont have any other...
I should also mention they will do service items for you. I dont know if id go to them just for an oil change but when it comes time for shock service or questions about any other serviceable items i will definitely be asking them first / for recs.
Might not be for your everyday service but check out Adventure Offroad in Tustin. Sergio there is super great and can hook you up with knowledge, thoughts on any service / mods, and they can install just about anything. They also have relationships with the dealers in that auto mall. They do...
I havent run it completely dry but Iām regularly refueling in the late 400s. Simple calcs with real fuel usage is showing 530-600mi in a full tank (depends on mpg which varies wildly for me depending in if Iām offroading, commuting or roadtripping).
Funny thing for me is i had a partially broke fuel level sensor before i had my tank installed and still do now so my gauge is completely untrustworthy for the most part hahah. Thanks for ford parts shortage on our oddly specific fuel level sensor which is why i havent fixed yet.
Ive had the...

They have some pretty nice wiring harnesses for doing single or dual backup lights that trigger / power of the tail light. Super easy to install. I used it for a slightly different project though. Also, not a good solution, but try turning your...
I havent noticed a lean but i also have other weight in the truck that could be counterbalancing. With it being so low compared to CG and so central (right up against the drive shaft) i dont think it affects too much. Also with a tank that big u just dont sit at a full tank very often haha.
i...
Iām pretty sure the brown davis tank is the LRA tank. I think it says on LRA that the tank is made or designed in australia. They look identical either way
