I was at the fair on Monday and was able to sit in the 24 Ranger. It has to be the roomiest midsize out there, with the GM twins a close second.
I sat in the 24 Tacoma also and it was really tight.
Wow bud.... I'm sorry this rubbed you so wrong..... it was a simple question not some kind of attack or factual statment. It was just an assumption..... it's ok to dial it down a bit now. :explode::giggle::explode:
There are videos of some at dealers and if you look at cars.com they are already starting to show up..... not that they have them yet but with production starting this week/next (I think that is correct) I figure about a month is about right.
I have only been able to sit in the Maverick once, and the current ranger a few times at Auto shows and for back seat the Ranger is pretty cramped. Maverick is better legroom but not as much hiproom
Current Ranger is 34.5 I think.... new one is 38.X I can't remember what it said for sure. Apparently the wheelbase and trach added 2 inches, but yes all the ones saying it was the same appear to be wrong. The current one is really tight.... the maverick has more legroom just not as much width...
The teasers area silhouettes at this point but there have been some camo'ed prototypes driving around that obviously have a longer bed. I think it helps that they have much higher volume than the other guys so they can afford to offer more configurations.
The part that puts a damper on it for me is the no Hybrid. I am impressed with the 3-4 extra inches of legroom.... but waiting to see what the Tacoma is like to zero in on something for sure.
I looked to see if there was a build yet and could not find it. Where are you seeing that? Hopefully I can build soon to see if it's something I'm interested in..... hopefully it doesn't end up like Maverick as far as ordering.
Sad no Hybrid though... can't imagine it will be great on MPG
Wow.... is the rear legroom correct?? Seems they were able to get some more room back there.
Disappointed there isn't a higher MPG option but looking good so far with the specs.....
I have thought about going ahead and ordering a Maverick with the thought that it would probably be 6+ months before the order was fulfilled and hopefully we would find out more about the new Ranger and Tacoma. If the Maverick for some reason did come in really early then I could decide to...
